Rathkenny won 3 out of 11 games in division 2 leauge, which proves they cant even beat average intermidiate teams regulary. St michaels and Dunderry finished ahead of them in the leauge divsion 2. Hammered in the feis cup against a blackhall team with 3 or 4 second team players playing that day. Walterstown won four from eleven in the leauge. They exited the feis cup early aswell. Im not saying leauge results should relegate teams from championship, but just pointing out that your not up to senior football. Lads both teams would be better off going down and rebuilding, although i dont see much hope for that either as underage has been poor in both clubs for at least 8 years now. Rathkenny were decimated with injuries for Feis cup match and played alot of their Junior C panel in that game. Navan O'Mahonys were relegated from Division 1 this year winning only two games...I say throw them back down to Inter aswell, ...silly statement. What is wrong with rebuilding as a Senior team. there is plenty of talent coming through the ranks.

My God, would the Players of Walterstown grow a pair and Go and Play Duleek in the Rel. Final. Stand up like men, take your beating and compete for Senior Status, what is it worth to ye if ye cant earn it the proper way!!!!!!. 1 .Winning with injuries to key players is what sets senior teams apart from intermidiate teams. You have admitted Rathkenny cant cope with injuries and your players in reserve are JUNIOR C. A senior team with any ambition would need their second string players playing junior b at least, so they would be sharp if needed to be called apon.

2. Your underage may have been winning but you are not competing at a high level. The standard your underage teams play at is a long way from senior or possibly even junior c football.

3. Not a silly statement about your leauge DIVSION 2 form. [won 3 from eleven] Navan would be witout 7 county players for most leauge division 1 games. A different thing complety to having a few lads who think their senior footballers, missing because they are "injured" or more likely on the beer the night before. Besides Navan have won the feis cup and their championship form is a long way from what rathkenney can even dream of.

4. Nothing wrong with rebuilding if you have the players. Could you name me 5 players under 18 who will be able to play senior in 1 or 2 years in rathkenney. please tell me what they have acheived to suggest they are able for senior football.

To be fair navan are a far bigger club than rathkenny and winning feis cup is hardly something to boast about . Now rathkenny win that game fair and if walterstown was so against extra time they should not have played .

Walterstown have just got stuck in a slump. Its only 3 years since they were in a quarter final and were only team to beat wolfe tones on their way to the keegan senechalstown were a poor enough team until damien took them over i remember dunshaughlin bet them out the gate not so long ago. apart from the ultans game they only lost by couple of points in each game this year.
