Come on lads everyone is entitled to their opinion dont be ripping a lad to shreds just because you dont agree with his post. At least he's contributing!

Carr should have more options in attack for next year with mckeever back and smith if he is good enough.. Id like to see more of paddy gumley next year, he was doing well in the mckenna cup before the problem with the heart. Bud fitz should also be close to the team he was very good this year u21 next year aswell. Lyng and pierson should also be more in the frame next year as they didnt ply in the champioship at all, pierson got about 2 mins against fermanagh. Eamonn Reilly and Gavan duffy would be good additions in the defence, mckiernan from swad or declan mckieran could be options at midfield

Pierson got a good bit of time against Wicklow too. A player at the trial game said that Reilly and Duffy didn't go. Young Fitzpatrick looked good all year for his club and looks to have something. Still the same old problems - need a number 2, 3 and 4 and good numbers 8 and 9. Heard that James Reilly has stepped off panel. So looks like a Number 1 can be added to the list too.

Wat woud Be youre starting 15 2 face fermanagh next year ?

1.J Reilly (Captin)(Drung) Has 2 b there been are most consistance porformer ova d last couple a years evn gettin a couple of all stars nomanations

2.D.Sheridan(Mullohoran)Had a good championship with mullohoran played vwell gainst belturbet.done brillent on carson of fermanagh and handled burke well gainst aintrim he has to be brought back.

3.E.Reilly(Gales)Can bring great leadership to this team played well wit d gales all year can really steady the ship wen tings get shakey loves 2 get foward too

4.R.Dunne(Redhills)Hes been der our der abouts for d last few years i tink he deserves a shot .

5.J.Hayes(Coothill)Had a good year wit coothill played a stormer gainst drumlane in breffni loves to get foward always fines space maybe its to soon but sure y not

6.J.Mc Cutchon(Coothill)Played at center foward all year i tink but center back soots his game had a steady debut season last year

7.P.Brady(Mullohoran)Great leader great comitment great skill great work rate if he stays clear of injuries he can be a major force

8.D.Givney(Mountnugent)Scored cavans only goal in d championship last year hes a great pair a hands on him shud of been on earlier gainst aintrim
9.R.Cullivan(Ballyhaise)A Decent footballer wit great strengt good acuracy nd a grt ball winner but i dnt lik him at fullfoward he finds it veri hard to turn

10.E.Smith(Killagarry)Heard lots bout diz fellow waz on d panel las year but waznt givin a chance i tink he shud b d suprise starter com may

11.R.Flanagan(Castlerathan)Good leader lacks quality in front of goal but will cover every blade a grass

12.C.Mackey(Castlerathan)Was man of the match gainst fermanagh las year dnt no wat type a year he had wit his club but he has to be back

13.M.Lyng(Gales)Had agood year wit d gales played well in d county final got a beauty f a goal can do diz for d county 2

14.N.Walsh(Gales) His bst postion a grt target man

15.S.johnston(Gales)Obivious choice

Fair play for going through the hassle of doing out the team but wouldn't be anything like the team i'd have,1st of all i think i'd have sheridan in the half backs he hasn't got a great 1st 5-10 yards needed for corner back, not too sure about Eamonn reilly either, never transferred his club form to county level but maybe deserves another chance, prob the best back in the county on club form.Josh Hayes wouldn't be in my team either,no harm to him but don't think he's ready yet.E. smith i've never seen play butn heard he'd be more likely to play in the backs?I would prob try Cullivan as full forward going out as 3rd midfielder and johnstone and Pierson 2 inside forwards if Pierson's in the mood this year that is,have to get Johnstone to lose the hissy fits too.Lyng if injury free i think should be 40 yards man.Feel free to rip me to pieces here folks,i'm sure i'm leaving out loads but the head isn't exactly functioning at 100percent at the minute.

James reilly is apparently retired. Pearson has quit the panel. My team would look something like this. 1 Not really sure about this spot. No real outstanding candidate after James 2 Mickey Hannon - Saw him recently and has dropped a few pounds! 3 Eoin Smith/ Darren Smith - Think both deserve a shot 4 - Martin Cahill - Not afraid to ruffle a few feathers 5 - Ronan Flanagan - Think we need to get him settled in one positions 6 - Eamon Reilly - Some one to hold the centre 7 - Gunner (if commited). If not I would go with McCutcheon, have a lot of time for him. 8 - Gearoid McKiernan - By far the most complete midfielder in the county. hopefully he has bulked up 9 - Ciaran Galligan - Accept he has weaknesses but I think he would make a solid holdin midfielder 10 - Mark McKeever - Would love to see him back in blue 11 - Mickey Lyng - Problem is he is never fit 12 - Cian Mackey - hope he kicks on this year and improves 13 - Seanie Johnston 14 - Cullivan - Give him license to roam 15 - Martin Reilly Also thing we need to unearth a forward who is a genuine goal scorer. We all know how we struggled last season for goals. Subs: Fannin deserves a ashot as a forward Walsh - only as a target man Givney - see if he can mature in to a MF Gumley Would like to see how Declan McKiernan is coming on. He would be an addition as a WF. Big and strong lad i know there are many talented u21's but I don't think we should be relying on them yet. If 7 or 8 of those where on the senior panel though and worked hard it would seriously give the more senior players more competition.

1- James Reilly-Drung 2- Darren Smith-Lavey 3-Eoin Smith- Killygarry 4-Eamonn Reilly- Cavan Gaels 5-Mc Keever-Gowna 6-Brady-Mullahoran 7-Flanagan-Castlerahan 8-Galligan-Drung 9-Mc Cutcheon-Cootehill 10-Keating-Cuchulainns 11-Lyng-Cavan Gaels 12-Brady-Castlerahan 13-Johnstone-Cavan Gaels 14-Pierson-Gowna 15-Mackey-Castlerahan 16-Fintan Reilly-Redhills 17-Michael Hannon-Drumgoon 18-Martin Cahill-Denn 19-Pauric Reilly-Ballinagh 20-Nicholas Walsh-Cavan Gaels 21-Donal Thomas-Killygarry 22-Paddy Gumley-Redhills 23-Declan Mc Kiernan-Killeshandra 24-Martin Reilly-Killygarry Full back line is solid. Very fast, agile and strong as well as being good man markers. Half back line is also very solid with good defenders who can also attack. Midfield-Well who else is there? They are both big strong lads. Half forward line-Strong and can get scores.# Full Forward line- Has the potential to be lethal if carr had enough brain cells to realise we need pierson!

Meg there is better half forwards in cavan than keating and brady. Both of them were very poor with cavan this year. They got lots of game time and i never saw any improvement. Pierson quit the county panel

Is there any chance of young lads like oisin moynagh or niall mcdermett making the panal? i think the panal should be made up of 2 players for every single position so that if injuries or a loss of form occur there is a ready made replacement who will slot in comfortably in the position so as not to disrupt the balance of the team too much!... any thoughts?

at the moment in some posistions we cant find 1 player good enough to fill the void never mind trying to get a capable replacment

Meg before you question an individuals brain matter maybe you should check and see if players are available. Pierson in England for work reasons so not available. Maybe its time people started supporting the county, talk to players involved and realise there is a change in attitude from every corner of the camp. Positivity better than negativity.

ari... but lets be honest, he is not material for county seniors! if he came across a ful forward like the size of walsh, he would not get near a high ball!! good for u21's doh!

A full-forward like walsh???? You'd think the man was Tommy walsh the way you talk about him
