Im very suprised nobody has mentioned Jack Lynch yet. Of my own county Niall McKeigue was a very talented hurler and played hurling for Meath long before he played football, he was a big loss when he decided to concentrate on the big ball,

well at the moment it would be c.j. mcgourty, best of all time would have been kevin armstrong.anyone agree?

Now, I have always said that ardboe is the centre of culture and knowledge in Ireland, and here is further proof.

Mind you, Mickey Magill, mentioned by Stranmillis, who had a parent on the team of the century, might be close to CJ.

Greg Blaney was a great dual players that graced our great national pastimes. The Ballycran man was better known for his football however, many believe that he was a better hurler than footballer. After winning the All Ireland Football Championship in 1991 he togged out for the hurlers the following year against Cork in the All Ireland Semi Final.

A fine player.

Just on Stephen lucey, for a couple of years he played U21 for Croom and Limerick in football and hurling, senior for Croom and Limerick in both codes and for both UCD Gaa teams, whilst in college to become a doctor. That's 10 teams... and ive probably forgotten a couple

Liam Currams of Offaly, George O Connor of Wexford, Sean OG O Halpin, Conal Keaney, the list is endless but in my opinion there is nobody to touch Jimmy Barry Murphy of Cork. A GENIUS.
