Im very suprised nobody has mentioned Jack Lynch yet. Of my own county Niall McKeigue was a very talented hurler and played hurling for Meath long before he played football, he was a big loss when he decided to concentrate on the big ball, Jgc81 (Meath) - Posts: 195 - 25/10/2009 08:23:50 465578 Link 0 |

Greg Blaney was a great dual players that graced our great national pastimes. The Ballycran man was better known for his football however, many believe that he was a better hurler than footballer. After winning the All Ireland Football Championship in 1991 he togged out for the hurlers the following year against Cork in the All Ireland Semi Final. saulgael (Down) - Posts: 553 - 26/10/2009 02:40:48 466245 Link 0 |

Just on Stephen lucey, for a couple of years he played U21 for Croom and Limerick in football and hurling, senior for Croom and Limerick in both codes and for both UCD Gaa teams, whilst in college to become a doctor. That's 10 teams... and ive probably forgotten a couple miketyson (Limerick) - Posts: 2748 - 26/10/2009 14:16:16 466474 Link 0 |
Liam Currams of Offaly, George O Connor of Wexford, Sean OG O Halpin, Conal Keaney, the list is endless but in my opinion there is nobody to touch Jimmy Barry Murphy of Cork. A GENIUS. REDROM (Offaly) - Posts: 208 - 26/10/2009 15:21:11 466539 Link 0 |
