Portlaoise are not the team of old. if christy grimes the reids and one or two others chip in with a 60 min display, id have to fancy mattock. ill be throwing my few quid on them

Cant believe PP are giving such odds on a two horse race. Portlaoise are not that good 1/7 and Collon are not that bad 5/1.
Opportunity to get a few bob together for Christmas.

Lads Collon are hot and Cold, See Cooley in July and the Blues, only beat Mals by 2 and Kil by 4 last week, only thing about them is they don't care you is put in front of them and have a "home" game.

Just wondering is Mark Brennan fit to play, he will be a massive loss to mattock if he isn't.... Heard Adrian Reid on holidays and not playing an even bigger loss if true... Anyone Know...

adrian reid is out of sundays game as he is in the states on holidays, big loss for mattock as he has been 1 of there best players all year, the colon men are defo worth a punt on sunday because the 5-1 odds is a great price, come on the mattock, bring me money for xmas:)

another thing to consider is portloise only won their chamionship on sunday ( i think ) so surely celebrations should take its toll on them

I would be lumping on that price if it were under normal circumstances but I heard mattock have a severely depleted team plus Portlaois are tipped for Leinster! Pity because Mattock play their best football in Leinster if you ask me and as far as I know the winners have a bye to the semi where they meet probably Cellbridge who won their first champ in a long time this year! Wud have been a great chance. 5-1 on Mattock in Leinster you prob wouldn't have ever got a price like that! Even when they were unknowns!

Well lads, odds are ridiculous on Portlaoise. We have a decent team and lads know how tough Mattock Rangers are going to be.Lads only won county title on Sunday but celebrations were at a minimum as really Portlaoise have been waiting for Leinster championship all year.We are missing a few key players but will still be strong and will give Mattock Rangers a good battle.

I couldn't believe they were 5/1 when i checked the odds before seeing this post. Are Mattock severely depleted or can anyone shed any further light on this who is in the know? I know people on here mentioned Reid but is he the only player out.. 5/1 is a big number playing in Drogheda

In addition to Adrian Reid & Mark Brennan is it true that Daire Englishby is also out and that Shane Grimes is doubtful? I also heard that Daniel Bannon & another of the players were arriving late on saturday night after a holiday. All in all it doesnt sound to positive for Mattocks chances which is a pity because with a full team I would have fancied them to give to give Portlaoise a good game of it.

now you know wht portlaoise were 1/7, 1/100 would have been more realistic. i would say that portlaoise as a unit is better than the laois inter county team, and on a parallel would be able to beat the louth inter county team. they will win leinster unless they get too cocky.

Well not that I believe club football bears any resemblance to the county team, I mean Tyrone or Kerry clubs haven't excatly set the world on fire of late but...
