In fairness now, beating ballyboden in their back yard in the leasgue, how far is it actually from judes backyard, is a long way from becoming Cross rangers

454133 What, you mean they want to build a military base and helicopter pad on their ground?

The compensation would be nice

I'm not the touchy one. I only started a disscussion thread. I'm not the one with the negative, glass half-empty ( remember that ) attitude to a question.

i never said anyone would match crossmaglen

I simply pointed out that boden are in no way dead certs to win this final never mind becoming dominant for years to come

Ridiculous Hyperbole !

You could've said the same about Kilmacud last year.

And I'm sorry, but winning the U-14 Feile na N-Og (great and all as it is to win and would love my club to win it) does NOT guarantee future success.

If 2 or 3 of these lads make it to senior it would be a success.

So please, calm down with the Crossmaglen comparisions.

Sorry boss, thought you meant judes. Boden, Judes and faughs must be the 3 closest clubs in the country, less than half a mile between them.

Somebody give kingpuck back the rattler that fell out of his pram. This is a forum, what do you expect people to just agree with everything you said???And those that don't are looking at the glass half-full,or just being negative?Dear god there are plenty of clubs up and down the country you could claim COULD rival the dominance of Cross with fantastic underage teams, good senior team etc.
If Ballyboden win on Sunday they are in with a real shout of winning an AI Club but they would have to win another 2/3 to rival Cross.Winning 1 does'nt put them on a par with Cross any more than it did Vins or Kilmacud.

At least it is the Club strongholds of Cavan and Monaghan that are quelling my flames here. Thanks for the insight lads.

Read the title of the thread. I am asking the question CAN they be the NEXT Crossmaglen? Nobody is comparing anyone to them now. How could any team be compared to Cross at the minute?
Think about what you are replying to before let your fingers type. And while they are typing please remember the punctuation. Comma's, full stops, and question marks are there for a reason.
For anyone else that is going to reply to this i am asking about the future, not now. I repeat.... I AM NOT COMPARING BALLYBODEN TO CROSSMAGLEN NOW!!! OK!

I had you down for a bit more savvy. What are you on about people agreeing with everything i say? The thread was a question. Not a statement.

get cranky when someone has a differing opinion to you.... check
slag off that persons county rather than address any point made....check
slag their grammar and spelling rather than address any point made.....check

you might not be cut out for this hoganstand lark kingpuck!!

But of course you are correct in absolutely everything you say and shame on me for petulantly disagreeing with you. To show my faith in your unparallelled wisdom I'm off to the bookies to put my lifesavings on Ballyboden to win the next 13 Dublin Senior Football Championships!

14/10/2009 15:48:07 Breffni39 County: Cavan Posts: 1233 All i did was ask a civil question. I didn't need the "aye, your some craic" replies or the smart comments from you Breffni about Dell's previous. All i wanted was someones opinions, but in true HS spirit everyone wants to pick fault in every thread that involves a bit of debate. I was hoping for anyone to come up with any alternative team that may be in with a life of doing what the great Cross team have acheived, but i suppose that would be too much too ask for. I will apologise for slagging off other counties. Your right, totally uncalled for and normally against my thought process ( unless Mayo are brought into the equation ), but i will not apologise for anything else. I am not disagreeing with anyone with a different opinion to me. I didn't say that Ballyboden will do a Cross. I was merely asking the question were they capable? As for the grammar. Well if people can't take the effort to take pride in their replies then i will have have no hesitation in taking their opinions with a pinch of salt. I mean if "Ha is kingpuck71 for real. . . Your some criac comparing them to Crossmaglen" is to be taken seriously it will need a bit more substance to it and at least have a bit of sense in it. This person didn't read the thread, make any sense of it or think about what he/she was saying in their effort of a reply. If that upsets you breffni then you are easily offended. And by the way. You never slagged another County on here? Never? Be careful what you say. The copy and paste option is very easy to use on here.
