Be under no illusion why our country cousins are so bitter towards us Dubs! .....When they look to their own county they see a place and its people that never lifted a finger for Ireland! When they look to Dublin they see a county in the thick of every rebellion and the leaders of every rebellion! They try feed us this so called slur of being 'Jackeens' but choose to ignore the identical images to be seen when the queen visited Cork! (Nah, instead they buy this Cork 'rebel county' "Wind that shakes the barley" rubbish cos they dont know the real story of how they got that name, but us Dubs do!) Choose to ignore that naturally as the Capital we would have countless more 'Imperialist' types than their own sorry towns and villages, choose to ignore a city ringed with up to 10 military barracks within a 3 mile radius of O'Connell St. while their own sorry town probably had a tiny RIC Bks and choose to ignore the fact that for all this ring of steel in the city that we Dubs were the ones who always had the courage for the fight while these country cowards were cowering in their dairy sheds and not helping the Dublin heros in the fight from their own locality!!......Shame on them! Ye can take yer anti-Dub tripe back to mayo paddyogall! Back to a county that did its bit for Ireland in 1798,........eh, after ye waited for the French to arrive first! Cowards! How do ya like that piece of 'Cake'?! Regards, Snufalufagus....Laochra Gael

451099 Cake is a legend.Who will ever forget his infamous cameo in the 89 Connacht minor football final?

Was that where he ran up and took the Penalty winning the game which was later forced to be replayed? Snuffy Viva Le France!

It was.He was'nt the nominated kicker but he ran up and took it anyway and scored,Roscommon won but the big-shots in Connacht overturned the decision and awarded Galway the title.Roscommon then objected, were granted a replay and won it.Happy days.
