Would have to say that the 2 corner back for MLR would get a shout Karl Lawlor and Gary Kelly. I dont think Willie Hickey would get in my team this year. He has yet to do it but might click in the final. I would have Edward Byrne in front of him. Also Edward Coady has struggled with injury this year and would do well to get in.
Martin Murhpy of Myshall was brilliant i thought this year. Also Eoin Nolan hurled well in new positions. I would have to give hurler of the year to Damien Roberts. In any match i saw he was head and shoulders above anyone else.
Also saw Tom Doyle of St. Mullins hurling a few times and he was outstanding.

Murto,

you have Shane at 3, never played a game there. Gary & Tom Doyle are the clear winners here. you have Edward Coady at 7 Played only 3 games with rangers & played them at 6. James Doyle at 10 & Willie Hickey at 15 missed 2 games through suspension. No Graig Doyle or James Hickey you must be having a laugh.

i dont think craig has had that good a year to date to include him in the team of the year.. a lot of good performances this year and some in teams of indiffering form. i thought from our point of view colin hughes had a good year along with the consistant david english..

I ve been at a lot of Erins Eoin & Rangers games this year plus have seen everyteam play on a few occasions. here would be my team.

Frank Foley
Tom Doyle
Gary Doyle
Lawlor MLR
Ed Coady
Jacko Rogers
Peter Doyle
James Hickey
Derek Byrne
Benie Doyle
Ruari Dunbar
Graig Doyle
Michael Ralph
Christy Coady
Willie Hickey

I would have to give hurler of the year to J Hickey. Was never a big fan of his but have to say in the last 5years he is a different man. tought he should have def won it last year or even 2007. he has been outstanding in all rangers games this year in both hurling & football. also think Jacko has been excellent for eirns eoin & if they win he could be in with a good chance. Foley in the goal is also one that never gets the credit he deserves. excellent keeper. best of luck to both finalists on sunday. hopfully we will be back next year.

i felt after yesterdays match, john coady had a fine hour, started at 10 but did most damage at 11. thought he d deserve a spot perhaps instead of james doyle on the few named teams. richard also did well at 6. edward got a roasting off eoin somers until the swopped somers - for some unknown reason, off him, and he began to get into it. erins own had a few fine performances also. beanie had a mitey game in midfield, peter doyle did well in the corner too. hard to pick a 15 for the whole year. a lot of great performances given. i suppose we re like the lads with the all stars, we only remmmeber the semi finals and final!
