Kilcoo have got by just fine with our own supporters, best in the county if not ulster by far! its good to have other local clubs getting behind us now we are flying the flag for Down, but we don't expect or need any of the 'townies' (most of whom are blow ins) to cheer our great team!!

Jofus against buuren he scored 6 points and set everything up for kilcoo he is kilcoo playmaker you don't need to score to play well even u should know tat paul was very conistant for us in the league and when we needed paul in championship he stepped up to the mark and it even said in the irish daily star he needs to be giving time everybody expects so much out of him. The town are just jealous of kilcoo of being in ulster because the town even know that kilcoo are far better than them footballing wise kilcoo are getting better every year we could actually see kilcoo in the ulster final.

The Kilcoo management and players will be focused on beating The Loup on Sunday. It won't be an easy match to win. The rest of Down should get behind them. There can be quite an intense rivalry between Kilcoo & my own club, Liatroim, but I'll be in Casement on Sunday.

Brendan Crossan was raving about PD's (Paul Devlin) sweet left foot in Monday's Irish News, with Conor Laverty getting a good write up yesterday. Kilcoo to win by 2.

MrControversial its a sad reflection when people like you cannot overcome your jealousy and get behind kilcoo and support them as they are representing down. you may not like kilcoo and by your attitude i do not expect this post to change that view. why must they forget about winning ulster? they are still in it and have a chance of reaching the ulster final and if they do that anything can happen in a final. not many know alot about them as they havent played on the provincial stage yet which will be an advantage kilcoo hold over the loup.

Personally i would love to see Kilcoo get beat on sunday because their supporters are the most arrogant i have ever come accross. And dont humor me by saying that Castlewellan are jealous of Kilcoo with their one Senior Championship in 72 Years. This is the first decade that we haven't won a championship so i don't think there is much to be jealous about. As for the shouting in the stand, if it had of been Castlewellan playing would the Kilcoo one's have been cheering them or the opposition on?

All this anti-Kilcoo crap from Cwellan7 is a disgrace. I hope the club's true GAA members do not support this view. Kilcoo deserve success they have a great set up throughout the club and have underacheived in recent years. I hope, as a Down man, they go all the way in Ulster and i'm sure all true Down GAA people will share this view

Why is it a disgarce? Explain to me why my opinion is not valid? I personally would like to see Kilcoo get beat on Sunday because maybe then they wouldnt be coming into the town and running their mouths of as much. Is that ok with you? Or should i be like everybody else in the county and pretend that we all know support Kilcoo because they represent Down in Ulster? The latter is highly unlikely to happen as Klicoo are my Clubs biggest rivals and i will never cheer them on or be happy to see them win. And do mistake this rivalry with jealousy

I know many of the current Kilcoo senior team and im almost certain that they know exactly how i and a lot of other Castlewellan people fell abiut their club. As I have alraedy said i have very little to be jealous of regarding Kilcoo. Yes they are county champions and have a great underage system but our club has had all this in the past and no doubt it wont be too long until we have it again. This is just a good period in an otherewise bleak Kilcoo history compared to ours(as you have mentioned) and i just cant wait to till they fall of their perch with a bang.

Must agree about the future of the mighty town being so bright, with youngsters like Big Greg and Ciaran McCabe in your ranks! You must be talking about winning the Bobby Dazell in the future. The mighty town have failed to field teams (incl 7 a-side) in recent years due to the clash with the foreign game, yet chased your own gaels from playing hurling on the beloved meadow. Sure your future stars can just walk between pitches on the Bann road - thats handy. The whole county seen your 'effort' for the parade on County Finals day and thats your future.
With regard to your history, I think you will find that Kilcoo have won just as many Senior titles as yourselves and would have more Kilcoo men with medals! See that is why Kilcoo despise the town, you have no sense of community spirit, you acquire players from ALL the locals clubs (and some not so local) including Kilcoo yet you were still a game away from relegation and knocked out of the championship at the first round. Well done on winning out in Kilcoo this year thanks to Ballymartin Greg but as already stated the return fixture was a joke with you not scoring for 50 odd minutes!
The vast majority of the forumites are behind Kilcoo tomorrow and Kilcoo will give it their best shot. Good Luck!
