Why are United scared of City?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Great result for United today. Getting a point away to one of the best teams in the league, on recent form. Fergie must be relieved.

Sure that united team is very average there are no stars apart from rooney. I said when ronaldo and tevez left there was a huge void to fill and ferguson has bought pure rubbish to replace them. On paper city are not far behind them, its only a matter of time before they overtake them as manchesters best team.

"Sign him up Fergie" Carlos Tevez scores another three as City close the gap. If Mancini had been there in August City could be about 10 clear at the top.

United cannot compete without ronaldo and Tevez as detailed above.

And I was wrong about Ronaldo. He has actually scored as many in Spain this season as that other Old Trafford legend Diego Forlan. That is 7

And to think I said he would struggle to score ten.

Sporting Lisbon have ended their agreement with United, who were guaranteed first choice of their players.

They now have a new agreement, with Man City.

Be very, very, afraid.

What was all the fuss about?

Three late goals today see off Burnley, gaoining revenge fort the away game.

Aned yer man Eoin Goal didn't score today so United are not relying on the same man scoring every week.

Roll on the 10 in a row.

And City crashing at Everton?

Mind you typical that. Just as everton hit form they play City. That is who the game in hand is against as well.

The Sporting Lisbon agreement was hi-jacked by City because they threw monzo at SL.Let's face it if Nani is all they have got you are welcome to the agreement!City found out today again. Was'nt Tevez Magnificent? As Billy Ocean would say "when the goin gets tough"....

This thread truly is pure comedy gold.

Is it any surprise Abu's think Utd always score late goals when the 64th and 69th minute is considered a late time to score.

I think Patrique is right though, yesterday was a true indicator of both Utd and City's stature. A 3-0 win for Utd is rightly considered lucky and not good enough, while a 2-0 defeat for City where they were embarrassed and could have lost by 5 or 6 is considered "typical".

Breffni,

I beg you, nay I implore you, I beseech you, read the FIRST post on this thread.

It basically says Man United are the greatest team ever and Man City are absolutely useless so why is Fergie worried?

Why is FERGIE worried, not me.

It is Fergie you need to convince, not me.

Or maybe you are trying to convince yourself?

Who said he was worried? Mancini is the one that should be worried. Played off the field by a threadbare, and until very recently, relegation threatened side. Maybe city should just bite the bullet and make an offer for fergie

Fergie was actually right to be afraid. He knew how much United had slipped.

I apologise for doubting his judgement on City.

So will he go before he is "knocked off his perch?"

But you changed your mind here though patrique? Unless you have changed your mind since this back to your original opinion?

Of course I've read the opening post, I can read it again and again and again if you like but it still won't have any basis in reality. Like fred said it us you who is trying to convince yourself and its funny seeing you accuse others of it. I don't need convincing about anything, I am confident in my support of Man Utd - its a nice perk associated with winning everything and currently being champions.

This whole thread is a series of brash statement followed by embarrassing climbdowns. look at your nonsensical post abou the burnley game followed by an unconvincing caveat re: Man City, but sure making excuses for City and criticising Utd must come as second nature to you.

This thread should be renamed "Patrique's Daily Delusions Blog".

Only a completely biased fan would deny that Burnley should have beaten United about 3-0, at l;east.

They should have been 2-0 up, and then United may have collapsed, with Burnley winning about 5 maybe.

and see you in say 2/3 years, if you are still supporting United in the Championship/Division 1.

Should have been 3-0 Burnley?!

Only a completely biased fool could believe that there should have been a difference of 6 goals compared to the actual result of this game..

Im not a united fan and i say that burnley didnt deserve to beat them. They didnt have the quality to finish the half chances they got. Also, I guarantee that utd will still be in the premier league in 2/3 years, and that patrique is wrong, again.

Look Burnley missed two sitters BEFORE United scored. I know they were 2-0 up against City and got caught but look at the players City have compared to United.

Now with Burnley having missed United got 3, but come on. Berbatov and Diouff, who usually plays for Blackburn or Bolton, scoring. I mean how often do they score?

So all in all, a fluke result from a game Burnley dominated.

So you didn't watch the game then? Burnley had their chances yes, but Utd dominated that game, could have been embarrassed had burnley taken their chances, they didn't, and Utd won the game comfortably - this is reality, I know, I know an unfamiliar concept, but thats what it is.

As for the Diouf comment, I'm not sure what to make of that, I think you need to go outside and get some fresh air.

Now we know.

A united cast off and a Portsmouth cast off, 6th choice at City, a child called boy, all the star players in Africa or on the bench ot injured, and STILL beating United's A team.

Be very, very, afraid.

Now Patrique, even you would have to admit that United didn't get a fair crack of the whip the other night.Only 5 minutes of injury time played, instead of the usual 7 or 8!
I thing Fergie showed remarkable constraint, considering the poor timekeeping.
