Why are United scared of City?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I mean, is it not a bit soon?

Fergie now spends 505 of the timetalking nonsense, 25% talking about City and 25% denying talking about City.

He never talked about City before.

On the Adebayor thread arsenal fans are saying the thugs deserved wound up, but United fans want him, Bellamy, Ireland and Tevez banned for life.

OK, City are certainly looking good, and now appear to have maybe a better squad than most, but is it not a bit premature for United people to be terrified?

Patrique remindes me of Dion Fanning in the Indo, sitting in the corner with a big red chip on his shoulder!

In short, they arent afraid of them, ferguson is giving them the same treatment he gives liverpool, arsenal and chelsea, and history tells us that he has no fear of them.

Correct me if im wrong patrique, but didnt you say hughes would sign a team of robbie savages? Another inaccuracy... Suppose we should just add it to the list...

Patrique you spend too much time reading tabloid newspapers.United afraid of City???Don't make me laugh,United don't worry to much about their real rivals nevermind City.Hughes clearly cant stand the heat, did you see him the other nite after West ham equalized? He went crazy at the ref over every decision for the next 8 minutes before finally relaxin after they regained the league.
If he is like that in september what will he be like if they mount an actual title challenge?
Your obsession of all thing United it sad and predictable.

If The Guardian during the week, Guardian and Irish Times on saturday, and Observer and Sunday Tribune are tabloids, I confess to the crime. Normally Fergie is only terrified of Liverpool last year, Arsenal for a while, and still has nightmares about Jose. And now CITY. A bit premature I would have thought. Fergie is now "friendly" with Wenger as he thinks Arsenal are not a major threat. But as we believe that LEAGUES are important, these are ALL small clubs. Bring on the MIGHTY Rangers and Linfield who are WORLD leaders in most leagues won, by a mile. Therefore, if we believe many, Rangers and Linfield are the best and biggest clubs in the World. Those with a brain KNOW it is the likes of Real Madrid and Milan with their record in European football. As for Mark Hughes, he could surprise me yet. Maybe he is beginning to grasp reality, and realise what resources he has. Hopefully he will prove me wrong, as I have often been wrong in the past, and will be in the future. Only a fool believes he/she is right all the time.

Co Antrim Shields, The Cup for those who haven't won a Cup, Gold Cup, Johnston's Paint Trophy, and all the rest.

See what I mean? Roy Coyle won about 756 trophies as a manager.

Mind you, he may have been the best ever.

Fred.

Football died some years ago, you couldn't actually watch a game for 90 minutes, unless it was Brazil V Italy or the like.

I actually watched most of the City game last Monday. The fun has gone out of it, you knew after ten minutes they would win, once they stopped trying to score the greatest goal ever seen. And that was without most of the big names.

The beauty of watching City was that you would be 4-0 up with ten minutes left and thinking "here we could get a draw here"

Or you could look out for the kids from the youth academy, Ryan Giggs, Ireland, Surridge, Wright Philips, Hart, Weiss, and all the rest, but no longer. Money means these kids will have to move on, just as lack of money meant that some of them had to move on in the past.

S0 as you may have guessed, I have a sociological interest in soccer these days, the mindless yobbos seeking a family, how Sky sold it to a completely new, 40% female, audience, and of course the capitalism gone mad aspect.

And my main interest now is simply slegging people.

So, United are still s###
