Where's Paddywexman and JFK been the last week? After they got their predictions totally wrong I'm sure their in hiding!!!! Should be a cracking game with Clonguish and Garrycastle in the Leinster Q/F's. Clonguish to edge it. Spinx (Longford) - Posts: 1366 - 29/10/2009 11:49:10 469527 Link 0 |

Trouble in Antrim as usual. St Gall's representb the county in the club football, but also won the Ulster intermediate hurling last week. The club's U21 hurlers are still in the semi final, due to be played yesterday. St Gall's pulled out of this fixture, handing Dunloy a walk over, and then today's football was postponed! Now St Gall's should not have pulledout, but why is the county U21 being played in NOVEMBER. There are about 7 games in total, with 52 weeks to play them in. I suspect the whole thing has been planned by the county board who are keen to ensure that the county footballers only have two games next summer. I mean, it would be dreadful if the county won something, and we had PLAYERS swaggering about the place. heaven forbid. Do these players not realise the GAA is all about administrators? patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 01/11/2009 14:23:32 472231 Link 0 |

I think tyrone champions dromore will take a bit of stopping, solid defence that can attack, good midfield and some good fowards there a good bet for ulster. i wouldnt rule out the loup side either know some of there players mad about their football and derry club football the most competitve there is. duke_raul (Tyrone) - Posts: 993 - 07/11/2009 15:43:04 478146 Link 0 |
Fair play to Clontibret.Very experienced and a talented squad all through.Just shows that the football crown any year is wide open and tipping anyone team hotly is crazy . hayesy (Cavan) - Posts: 21 - 08/11/2009 15:58:10 478677 Link 0 |

Portlaoise made bits of the meath champions. Even without their star player who's gone to oz they look like a serious outfit. Markymark (Laois) - Posts: 644 - 08/11/2009 16:40:09 478690 Link 0 |

loup and killcoo both won.portlaoise sound like a good team.still hard to say who will win ulster, with galls and clontibret and killcoo and loup playing in the semis.galls favourites and clontibret after beating a strong dromore side.derry always have a strong side but killcoo beat a good eunans side by 4 points, both semis could go either way. Connacht seems poor this year,Seen a very poor game today between Charlestown and Castelrea,Corofin should win it next day with St.Galls beating them in the semi and go on to meet Portlaoise in the final. fredrickwood (Roscommon) - Posts: 2871 - 08/11/2009 18:48:43 478801 Link 0 |

Come on Markymark.Give Seneschalstown credit for turning up today. They had played 140 minutes of hard football in the previous week, only winning the Meath title on Thursday night. They had some celebrating to do. Other clubs have pulled out in like circumstances previously. Not saying they would have beaten Portlaoise but a fully focused Seneschalstown would have been a far greater threat.Just ask future champions St Vincents who struggled past Seneschalstown two years past. Also it is a much stiffer and prolonged task to win the Meath championship than that of the O Moore county.Seneschalstown were already beaten twice and drew a game in the competition while their final opponents Wolfe Tones played ten championship games.Representatives of counties having a knock out championship often hold a big advantage entering the provincial competition ie in terms of freshness etc. Auldfella (Meath) - Posts: 472 - 08/11/2009 20:43:22 478917 Link 0 |
Kerin O'Rahillys look good and would of been better with Micheal Quirke, pity they won't have David Moran and Tommy Walsh. Barry John looks like some players different build and style of play to Tommy. Was that Óige Moran I seen as there manager? Galway11 (Galway) - Posts: 570 - 08/11/2009 21:08:29 478944 Link 0 |
