The Ref did a county final in fermanagh 3/4 years back and made a bad call late on. There was a few work mates on both teams but more so for the winners.
He got a bit of stick. Ever since I think he goes too hard against any team where he knows a player !!

Horeswood won't even get by the first round. I attended the two games in the Longford Championship and Clonguish are a very skillful team who could be the surprise package in the Leinster Club Championship.

Once again the Referee stole the show ( Cavan Gaels v St. Galls ) !! The standard of refereeing is not improving at all. This is still the biggest problem in the G.A.A. and nothing is being done about it. The standard is poor and many people have been saying this for years but the G.A.A. continue to ignore the problem !!

If that is the case, I am surprised St Gall's didn't have a few sent off, especially Kevin Gourt. You know, all these refs that keep winning games, if they were from the same county Kerry won never win another Sam.

Oddball, did you attend the Wexford finals as well, or is that a comparison with your own county scene. You should go to that game next Sunday, you might just get a shock. Long journey for a Wexford team 4 hours drive, but I reckon Horeswood might just upset your statement on skillful teams. Horeswood are alot less direct than Clonguish in there style of play as well.

As a matter of fact JFK I was at that game as my wife is from Wexford. And although Horeswood are a good team they will be very hard pressed to get a win. There a more physical team than Clonguish but Clonguish are a lot more skillful. And I wouldn't mind the 4 hr bus drive, I'd be more concerned about the wedding the Clonguish boys are going to the night before. But I'm sure Clonguish won't make excuses like you have already with your pathetic 4 hr bus drive. Come up the night before if ye need yer 40 winks that badly!!!!!!!

Come on Rathnew! Alternatively I hope Dr Crokes win out in Kerry. Gooch deserves to raise the Sam Maguire in 2010!

Wasn't at the Gaels Galls match but the oul'lad was. He's been saying it for years but he is convinced that in the Ulster Club football championship, Cavan teams need to be winning by 10 points before they have any hope of winning.
