Lads, at the Monaghan County Final yesterday the County Board made a presentation to every club that had won a Senior Football C'ship in the last 25 years. There were only 6 clubs and 2 of those only won one each. Is this normal or there a wider spread in your county? The Face (Monaghan) - Posts: 890 - 28/09/2009 21:16:06 439176 Link 0 |

I have always been struck by the small number of clubs that have won the Senior Championship in Monaghan. As a contrast in Tipperary 8 different clubs have won the Senior Football Championship in the last 8 years. However, it is most unlikely that the number of different winners will be 9 after this year as 3 of those winning clubs are into this year's semi finals and they will probably be joined by the reigning champions after the last quarter final game this week-end.
