My personal favourite, Tomas Connor and Pauric Dunne, but the best ever BRIAN MULLINS AND BERNARD BROGAN OF DUBLIN. REDROM (Offaly) - Posts: 208 - 27/09/2009 22:47:17 438102 Link 0 |
John McDermott and Jimmy McGuinness in 1996 were pretty darn good from a Meath point of view, Cork midfield of the late 80's and early 90's was also excellent Shea Fahy was a great footballer. Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3748 - 27/09/2009 23:06:30 438121 Link 0 |

Nial Buckley and Willie McCreery from 98 in my opinion are up there as one of the best pairings wingback07 (Kildare) - Posts: 36 - 28/09/2009 15:55:56 438753 Link 0 |
2 of the best outside my own county bias were Adrian Fenlon and George O'Connor and Tom Kenny and Jerry O'Connor. solo (Kilkenny) - Posts: 314 - 28/09/2009 16:31:12 438795 Link 0 |
Brolly keep it real, Simon & Garfunkel never played mid-field on All Ireland day, my pair Foster & Allen did. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 28/09/2009 19:27:31 439061 Link 0 |

who were the two westmeath men that played midfield in croke park in an all ireland final, they were very good culmore (None) - Posts: 1398 - 28/09/2009 20:25:03 439122 Link 0 |
I suppose I grew up wayching Plunkett Donaghy partnering both Harry McClure and Eugene McKenna, I was also a big admirer of the Sean Walsh-Jack O'Shea partnership. The Grimley twins in Armagh were the strongest partnership I have witnessed. Other midfielders that deserve a mention would be Brian Mullins, Peter McGinnity, Dave McCarthy, Anthony Molloy and Liam Austin. I would like to have seen Phil Brady, Jim McKeever, Colm McAlarney and Mick O Connell in action but my favourite partnership of all time would have to be Tohill and McGilligan. mugsys_barber (Tyrone) - Posts: 2160 - 28/09/2009 21:31:49 439198 Link 0 |
