Cork fans attacked

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

"Sad day that fellow irish people would attack them because they were Cork Sopportes. I hope it is comdemmed by all and that this type of stuff will not crept into our game"

followed by

"I see Hoganstand have published a story about it. Must be some way related to GAA eh Meath Bhoy?"

and then

"I dont think that just because they werent fans makes it any Better. They were Irish people in a different country who recognised that the other people were Cork GAA supporters and were beat in the All Ireland final. Who are we to know they werent Dublin GAA fans"

First thing I do is unreservedly condemn this outrageous act.

Secondly:- Your at it again O'gall although this time it is not the North of Irealnd you choose to berate. Was youur sympoathy for the family genuine? Well people can read your posts and make their own minds up. It is clear though that you make a calculated attempt to blacken the name of Dublin GAA fans. A really low and cheap shot.

The evidence you have for this is that Hogan stand carried the story. Priceless!

I agree with the Glensman, Paddy the Mayo man is just using the actions of a few drunken scumbags as a stick to beat Dublin GAA fans. Have you nothing better to be doing than trying to whip up anti-Dublin sentiments?

As usual glensman you took each of my comments completely out of context with me responding to meathbhoy who said it should not be in a GAA forum. How petty you are to use that comment as a source to have a go at me. How sad indeed

O' Gall- Your comments are clear and completely in context. You look for every opportunity to criticise anything to do with the North and Dublin. Pathetic really!

We don't bring the thugs to Croker as they wouldn't get tickets if they weren't involved in the GAA...........we leave most of them in Belmullet where they can fight it out amoungest themselves..........lol

I think the GAA jersey is irelavant to the whole incident

They were Holidaying with members of their "extended family" and had a row with another group of 9/10 people.
Anyone who goes to Torremelinos or wherever with his 3 brothers/sisters - 4 inlaws parents/parents in law - 2 divorced aunts and the suspiciously single uncle Ronboy is asking for bother - jersey or no Jersey

What this story has to do with all things GAA is beyond me, Yellow card here for HS editorial for even publishing the story ... shows very bad judgement I think.
assaults happen every day in every town in Ireland and each and every one of them is a sickening disgrace. will we now be hearing about each time people wearing a county jersey or colours of any description are beaten up in any part of the country or even the world?...... Please stick to what we like best ie : match reports/discussions etc.......leave the drunken brawls to the gutter press please.

This happens all the time abroad with drunken holiday makers especially the english football fans. I would advise anyone not to wear any type of jersey in these popular resorts. it's a shame but has to be the way . Unfortunately these thugs don't need much of an excuse to start a fight so my advise would be don't give them one. If you wear the jersey then be prepared to defend it.
