kennelly should have walked in first minute for his elbow on murphy, but sure lets all ignore that! mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 20/09/2009 18:38:18 431101 Link 0 |

He should have been red-carded! Poor refereeing Real Louth fan (Louth) - Posts: 3157 - 20/09/2009 19:08:47 431153 Link 0 |
was strange now, dont think he was too happy about it. He was playing well, think he'll get an all star and would have been in contention for player of year if O'Connor had have let him stay on. tullyframerover (Down) - Posts: 276 - 20/09/2009 19:19:19 431165 Link 0 |
should have undoubetdly been sent off in first minute - but sure he was in a kerry jersey so what am i thinking!! banner_boy (Clare) - Posts: 1285 - 20/09/2009 19:26:52 431177 Link 0 |
yes indeed banner boy...all goes back to the choice of referee, mceneaney would have had him back in the dressing room...and all this chat about deserving his medal would have been redundant mayotyroneman (Tyrone) - Posts: 1821 - 20/09/2009 19:36:04 431190 Link 0 |

He was lucky he committed the offence in the first minute, a la Whelan in '05 its unlikely you will get sent off at such an early stage of the game jackhackett (Meath) - Posts: 773 - 20/09/2009 20:37:13 431244 Link 0 |

He had a great first half. Canty was getting on top of him in the 2nd half as he'd run out of puff. Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 20/09/2009 21:00:59 431272 Link 0 |
Well in a way it is nice to see him getting a medal it sends out a great message to any young lads thinking about going to Oz that the all-ireland is bigger and better. The only problem is, is he gonna go back to Australia now and if he does it will send out a terrible message omaghjoe (Tyrone) - Posts: 1191 - 20/09/2009 21:08:25 431283 Link 0 |
Amazing how he was still on the pitch after what he did to Murphy at the start but sadly Kerry seemed to get the rub of the green with the big decisions today. Whether he deserves the medal is not the issue, no right minded person from any county can seriously say that foul was not a red card offence.
