He should have been red-carded! Poor refereeing

was strange now, dont think he was too happy about it. He was playing well, think he'll get an all star and would have been in contention for player of year if O'Connor had have let him stay on.

yes indeed banner boy...all goes back to the choice of referee, mceneaney would have had him back in the dressing room...and all this chat about deserving his medal would have been redundant

He was lucky he committed the offence in the first minute, a la Whelan in '05 its unlikely you will get sent off at such an early stage of the game

He had a great first half. Canty was getting on top of him in the 2nd half as he'd run out of puff.
That's why he was taken off.
Don't see how a lad can be talked about as a MOTM contender for one good half.
Walsh, Galvin, Scanlon and O'Sullivan would deserve it much more.

Well in a way it is nice to see him getting a medal it sends out a great message to any young lads thinking about going to Oz that the all-ireland is bigger and better. The only problem is, is he gonna go back to Australia now and if he does it will send out a terrible message

Fair enough its nice to see him win his all-ireland however it would have been alot nicer to see Anthony Lynch and Graham Canty win a medal

Amazing how he was still on the pitch after what he did to Murphy at the start but sadly Kerry seemed to get the rub of the green with the big decisions today. Whether he deserves the medal is not the issue, no right minded person from any county can seriously say that foul was not a red card offence.
