Ryan Stranney on a down team? Did you watch any of the Championship games that he played in this season? Also Brannigan? Can't tackle. Personaly I thought Grant came out of defence exstremly well on Sunday and set up many attacks, also battled well. Definitely think he controlled the game although Loughinisland could just not slot over the frees.

No. 15, your 15 is the best possible 15 of those above. As much as I would love Liam Doyle to be playing for Down seniors at Centre Half Back, his knee injuries keep coming back. We really need him though, so fingers crossed. Liatroim would be closer to the top of Division 1 if he was playing at his best. Sadly they're fighting relegation again this year.

ryan stranney is a class player! i know he had a bad final but i rate him very highly. Brannigan is like ricey, he's what down needs, someone that will annoy you the whole match, you get nowhere by being nice!

Any word on when these trial games are to take place? James could have a tough time trying to fit them in, with the league and ulster club due to run into late November. Any thoughts?

Its abou time some Kilief players got a rattle at the Down team Ricky Kerr Ciaran Polly Ciaran Sloan all deserve a shot at it three quality players who would get on any div one side other players iv seen this year worth a shot in div two are Harrison glasdruman ,Liam Mc Veigh Kingdom, Aidain Fegan Annaclone hALF BACK FROM Banbridge dont know his name mc cathal Dowell and sean mcmanus ballymartin m miskelly darragh cross, ALder from Carryduff mc veigh from the kingdom isnt that good a keeper we always find it harder to score past Alder (wasnt including any big names) give these players a go in the mc kenna cup they coulnt be any worse than last years squad

You have to be joking me, Brendan McVeigh, not a good keeper, are you wise. Easily downs top preformer last season, so to suggest hes not worth his starting spot this year is pathetic. i agree with th Liam mcVeigh statemnt tho, hes should be give a run out with the county, classy footballer

Aidan Brannigan of Kilcoo, would Connaire Harrison from Glasdrumman be any good for the county perhaps? Shaun Parr and Brian Cole from Rostrevor can't be that far away from the county panel either. Calum King from Bryansford is also a good player. I wonder how many players from Kilcoo will be given a shot this year though.

i feel that to progress the county into championship contenders, Wee james must have a strict regime on selecting players from the more high standerd clubs like Ballykinler, bright and aughlasfinn
