Poucher is better than any of these division 3 and 4 footballers you are naming - get him fit and he will destory teams - clarke poucher and walsh what a half forward line.

I can see that there is a lot of talk about Kilcoo's Conor Laverty. Yes Laverty has improved greatly and his ability to impress with with his techniques are very impressive. However, he is far too light to say the least. Just watch any match he's playing in and see how he is thrown around like a rag doll, some may argue that he gets the frees, but seriously what is impressive about a forward who cant stand his ground?! In my opinion, yes could make county football standards but only as a sub! Its not the forward line that needs changing in County football, its the backs, a solid defence, with the make up of Niall Morgan, (who was impressive on Sunday past) Timmy Hanna, Mckernan, A.Brannigan, J.Clarke and perhaps, Martin Clarke at Centre half back.. only food for thought.. but lets hope this year begins positively for Down football.

conor laverty def, had a good enuf game sunday bt has been impressive throughout the championship. aidan branagan fouls too much. what about the loughinisland full back line? they have been on form throughout the championship and probably the main reason loughinisland made the final. does anyone know anything about them?

packie downy are you joking.. Up in Drumgath we had a minor restrict him to 0-2 throughout the game and one of them came when our defender slipped! No chance! Jackie lynch maybe if he gets his attitude right.. just always thought he thought he was better than he actually was!!

Ben O'Reilly, he would be a great half foward. def worth a shot. Niall morgan also a worth a try, big powerful full back.

there is no mention of any of the wealth of talent in Rostrevor - whether or not some of these young lads are willing to give the commitment to what is practically a full time job only they can decide - Shaun Parr for example is as tidy a footballer as you would see in the county

Sean Parr is definitely county standard, but whther he would give the commitmnetis another matter. Brian Cole is also top-class; Rostrevors bad performances eg vs hilltown in the Cship replay, have all occurred in his absence

James Grant a great corner back and also a great half back, a great versatile player. Played around the middle on sunday for Loughinisland and controlled the game.

Def think Grant deserves a trial, although wouldn't have Ben O'Reilly on it just yet. He doesn't have the build for an inter county player, bit weak on it. From sundays performance I would also consider giving Aiden Brannigan,John McCarthy,Paul Devlin and one of they Kilcoo midfielders(did a great job keeping Dan out of the game) a call up

Definately Morgan would be worth a go at full back. There have been too many different full backs during the last few years but he has looked the part this year and with a proper go he could prove to be well able to fill number 3. Aidan Brannigan has been good through the year and should get a shot. As for Grant controlling sunday's game, what game are you talking about? It definately wasn't the one I seen in Newry. Molloy was the 'Island's best player by a long way, he still has a year or two left at the top. Class is permanent as they say.
Other than that, i think the under 21's from the last couple of years should be given time to prove themselves. Too often we are quick to judge, it takes time to build a team and we shouldn't expect instant miracles. Patience is a virtue!

I felt molloy was poor on sunday, over carried it when he should have gave it off. I thought loughinisland best player in the first half was Ben O'Reilly. He did a serious amount of breaking down kilcoos attacks aswell as showing great strength in the tackle. Unfortunately he looked to be carrying an injury and was tale off so we didnt see much more of him. Wouldnt go as far as sayin James Grant (number 4)controlled the game as he looked to be playing more of a sweeper role. But he did do well anytime he had the ball. Would have liked to have seen him marking lavery as i hear he had a good game on Conor Og in the semi final.

Deffinitly dont think the young man grant controlled the game although did not think he had a bad game either! Alan Molloy was one of loughinislands worst player, getting blocked, could not pick the ball up? Wat match wer u at? Alan has been a great servant to down and Loughinisland but just want his day! Thought B oreilly was the islands best players, thought he looked strong both on and of the ball and did some good takling back. In the end of the day if Loughinisland had scored there frees we would all be talking about a great display from them! would we not?

have to agree that molloy was very poor. thought that both the O'Reillys played well, winning the majority of frees.interesting point kilcuaaa, i think grant would have done a better job than the other two who were on him. this comes down to bad management, as does the fact that the same two free takers were allowed to continually hit frees for so long. what does everyone think the starting team for next year should be?
