Favourite place to sit in Croker.

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I know this topic might not work out but I'll give it a shot anyway! Where is your favourite place to watch the match in Croke park? Mines is sitting Ground Level, in the Cusack stand on a warm, sunny day. I don't even care who is playing!! :):)

Upper Davin dead centre about 10 rows back, for football and Upper Cusack near the front for hurling

Was in the Premium Level of the Cusack Stand for the Armagh/Donegal semi final of 2003, a game Donegal should have won. Hard to beat with the longest bar I have ever seen. You want to see the big red faced Donegal men whipping out big wads of dough; no economic woes in Tir Connail that day for sure.

Ulsterman, if you had seen a longer bar your would have had too many drinks on you because the one in croker is the longest in the entire globe.

I'd agree that the Cusack on a fine day is the best place. Somewhere in 306 or 307, loewr tier, about row GG. Centre of the park. Same for Hogan, 3301/331.

Premium in the Cusack. Generally get a ticket for there right at the 65. Love it.

Oh and just for the sheer randomness of it for the Meath v. Dublin first match in 07 I was in the lower Cusack row GG! I was very pleased

Got a ticket one time for 507 (premium level half Cusack way line) It was the seat exactly inside the door up against the window. so you could actualy get a pint stand next to the window look out at the game - and know that there would be no-one in your seat to block the view

Yeh, we had seats just before half way and it was amazing to close the dark glass doors out to the seats, hear nothing then open the doors and listen to the atmosphere. I know it reeks of Marie Antoinette's LET THEM EAT CAKE but if I could watch a game like this all the time I would. I can see why some people do pay that wee bit extra for these seats. However the ordinary seats in Croker always bothered me though; too cramped, plastic and cheap looking before they replaced them. Those big concrete walkways up to the stands could do with a bit of brightening up as well.

502/508 in Cusack is my usual spot. Great seat. No real bad views in Croke Park anymore unless you're in the nose bleed seats

Before the redevelopmnt, I always preferred the Hogan stand Lower. The Upper Deck of the Old Cusack was far too steep and would nearly make you dizzy. I now think the lower Cusack is the best, don't know why, about half way up in the middle of the park but to be fair there are few bad views in the stadium now unlike the old days with the pillars obscuring views.
