I think he might have meant Billy the Fish, Breffni, though I can't ever remember him featuring in Croke Park myself! Pericles (Mayo) - Posts: 2521 - 06/10/2009 18:12:11 446590 Link 0 |

Patrique--think the Cavan Kelly you are after is Gabriel and not Gene. Auldfella (Meath) - Posts: 472 - 07/10/2009 09:44:56 447183 Link 0 |
Best footballer to never win an all-ireland is Andy Mc Callan. Antrims only football all star and a magician at corner forward. Scored 0-11 in an Ulster final a feet only matched this year by Paddy Cunningham also of Antrim. kdog15 (Antrim) - Posts: 197 - 08/10/2009 12:09:04 448499 Link 0 |
Charlie Gallagher Cavan forward of the 60's without doubt, altough i have never seen him play the stories i have heard and read about him on the net, its hard to pick a better football to take this honour!! Gonzo (Cavan) - Posts: 55 - 08/10/2009 13:49:35 448597 Link 0 |
Denis Bastick. A class footballer. Still though he's guaranteed an All-Star at fullback this year. Beavis (Kerry) - Posts: 3 - 08/10/2009 15:59:21 448752 Link 0 |

Kdog15 sure Frank McGuigan got 11 points in the 1984 Ulster Final and Peter Canavan in the 2003 Ulster final replay. tir_eoghain_abu (Tyrone) - Posts: 773 - 08/10/2009 22:13:56 449159 Link 0 |

I meant people within Antrim. People in Tyrone have to realise the world aint revolving around them. Andy was agreat player a dual star at that. Very few around these days. As for people saying Ciaran Whelan was one of the best player not to win an all ireland. The legacy he left the inter-county game with kind of dismisses that point kdog15 (Antrim) - Posts: 197 - 09/10/2009 09:56:24 449372 Link 0 |
the best that i have seen in recent times are mattie forde, ciaran mcdonald and colin corkery. 3 magicians on the footbal field. i will not mention any from my own county for fear of reprecussions pig.ignorant (Derry) - Posts: 655 - 09/10/2009 13:49:40 449586 Link 0 |
