I think he might have meant Billy the Fish, Breffni, though I can't ever remember him featuring in Croke Park myself!

Jim McDonnell from Cavan, a legend. Ray Carolan, Ronan Carolan, both from Cavan.

Gene Kelly from Cavan, a wonderful corner back. Tom Maguire of Cavan at centre back, and throw in Morris as well.

All of these won bagfuls of Railway Cup medals when the Railway Cup was a major tournament.

Patrique--think the Cavan Kelly you are after is Gabriel and not Gene.

Best footballer to never win an all-ireland is Andy Mc Callan. Antrims only football all star and a magician at corner forward. Scored 0-11 in an Ulster final a feet only matched this year by Paddy Cunningham also of Antrim.

Charlie Gallagher Cavan forward of the 60's without doubt, altough i have never seen him play the stories i have heard and read about him on the net, its hard to pick a better football to take this honour!!

Denis Bastick. A class footballer. Still though he's guaranteed an All-Star at fullback this year.

A mistake anyone could make. I must have been out in the rain too long.

Kdog15 sure Frank McGuigan got 11 points in the 1984 Ulster Final and Peter Canavan in the 2003 Ulster final replay.

And Wee Andy didn't. Still, it sounded good.

I remember once telling Tyrone fans that Canavan was the best thing since Andy.

They never realised how great a compliment that was.

I meant people within Antrim. People in Tyrone have to realise the world aint revolving around them. Andy was agreat player a dual star at that. Very few around these days. As for people saying Ciaran Whelan was one of the best player not to win an all ireland. The legacy he left the inter-county game with kind of dismisses that point
