Dromard need to improve a lot. Clonglusih will make sure that McGee is marked, maybe even 2 players on him. If the stop him, then Dromard could be in trouble.
Clongluish big players played well, no one can handle Paul Barden or Paddy Dowd on their day. The are players who always preform on the big day.
Clongluish backline were excellent, Dromard backline were poor, their half backline were in trouble all day. The full backline were in trouble and Conefery/Pettit were shown up for pace. Mimnagh and Martin were poor by there standards, Young Sheirdan scored an excellent point, but he got lost in mid-field area. The other halfforward, Donohoe is a back and was excellent when he returned to that position. So, in reality, Dromard half-forward line disappeared.
Dromard Subs did not add as much as the have in other games. Peter Reynolds and B Sherdian were OK I guess.

Clongluish played up their standard. There tactic of long fast ball to the full-forward worked really well. Every ball is played to the 21 yard line in front of goal and Ciaran Williams or Paddy Dowd won every one. Joe O'Brien should not have been replaced, John Dowd did not work. Darren Quinn and Colie Clark will start and will improve Clongluish.

Clongliush should have won this game, they usually get on top of a team and score enough to win, this did not happen against Dromard. They will have to be more clinical next time around.
Clongluish must be hot favourites next time around.

I am supprised that the papers are tipping Dromard to win. I taught the Clongluish would be the team, after all Dromard only played for 20 minutes and Clongluish played all the football.

I think the papers are right. Dromard will up there game this time round and come out on top by 4 or 5 points. In their forward line the last day only McGee contributed, i expect jamesy and mimnagh to be more involved this time round.

Well, it time to call the replay on Sunday. Clongluish were excellent the last day, big players for the big stage. If Dowd and the Bardens control mid-field again, then teh Dromard Backline will not cope with the Clonglusih forward line.
Dromard have the players and can improve. The realy need to get a grip in the middle of the part and their half forwrd line need to win ball. There backs are OK, but need help out the field.
Their froward division were poor, with the execption of McGee. The can improve.

Anyway, I am going for a Dromard win, by 2 points

Well done to Clonglusih, maybe the best team on the day in a game of tactics. Clongluish look to have a bit more around mid-field with David Bardan the main man. Dromard lost their shape, which was supprising after the first game. The should have played a straight 15. Anyway the only dissappintment for me on the day was the ref. I think he got the call wrong for what should have been a penalty, Jamsie Martin was pulled down by Walters. In fairness he got up a scored an excellent point. I was a penalty. Also he did not let Dromard take a free in the last minute of the first half, and he called 5 minutes of extra time, but only played 4. Dromard, will not complain, the don't go down that road as far as I can see as a Club. The stayed on the pitch after the game and congratulated Clonglusih. I heard that a lot of their supporters stayed after the game also, and waited for their team to come out from the dressing room. Anyway, the Clonglusih players deserve their victory. The will repersent Longford well in Leinster. They will need to full support of the county.

Don't think Dromard can have too many complaints about the penalty appeal. If you seen the highlights on tv just as that attack was been launched it should of been a free out to Clonguish as a Dromard player threw the ball out to Diarmuid Masterson to start the move. And as they say these things even themselves out as we seen with the luck they got with the goal and also in the first game when McGee kicked the ball 2 foot wide of the posts yet the umpire gave him a point!!!

I saw a very funny sign on the road heading from Drumlish to Longford. IT read 'Clonguish to keep Connolly in the County and the Province'. Obviously a wee dig at where Dromard is from!! Very funny!!

I was talking to a few of the Dromard Players and supporters this week, and in fairness to them, they all say that the best team won over the 2 games. I asked abouth the penalty and their said that it should have been, but these calls happen.
They are very dissappointed in the way the played.

Spinx is there not 2 umpires at the goals to decide if something is a score or not?? No one disagreed on the day, it was a good score.

very disappointing result, we did not turn up on the day and clonguish deserved the victory. spinx i dont know how you could say the penalty call was right, jamesie martin was flung to the ground! even if it was a penalty, who knows if it wouldve been converted, still shouldve been one.

Looking back on it on tv it should of been a free out long before Martin got the ball. Just as the attack was been launched a Dromard player threw the ball to Masterson who played the ball in. So referee may of got it wrong on two counts but at least Clonguish weren't robbed in the end.
