doodrop I think dromard will come out on top after a titanic battle but i certainly wouldn't put my house on it. In the minor I would expect killoe to prevail but it will be a tight affair, could go either way.

Badger just show them your student card and you will get in for a tenor, not bad value. Or shave and say your u16 and then all you need is money for a few sweets in the shop.

Clongiush were the better team in the semi-final+if dey had taken their points they cud'v had d game wrapped up wit 10mins left and d reason der woz so much injury time is bcoz d ballymahon players kept fakin injury tryin 2 waste time in d 2nd.Will b tight at d weekend but i tink Clonguish mit sneak it.

Dromard and Clongluish history over the past 10 years is very interesting. Both teams have a hugh respect for each other and they have been in the top 5 clubs in Longford in all aspects of the GAA: Pitchs, Coaching, Youth activites including the Music sessions that Dromard run for kids on Sunday nights over the winter, winter coaching, clubhouses, community involvement etc. On Sunday, they will do their parishes proud, the winner will of course be delighted but will be respectful of the other club. The are wonderful players on both sides, passionate about football. Clongluish with the Bardens, Dowds, Williams, Walters, Clarke, Faughlin, Qiunn, Burks, etc all outstanding players. Dromard with Coneferys, Pettit, Vance, Donohoe, Sheirdans, McEntires, McGee's, Martin's, Minnaghs, are also strong. I am going for a win for Dromard, I think that they have a slightly stronger forward line, Midfield is there weak spot.

Badger, I doubt you will spend 3 euro on a program on top of the admission fee, thats if you will waste petrol travelling to the game. Sur listen to it on shannonside/northern sound. Full live commeentary will be provided with both lineouts read out free of charge.

Best County final for years, some high quality scores from both teams. Dromard were excellent in the first half, Clongluish in the second, and what a finish..
Roll on Sunday week..

I decided to make the journey up for your County Final on Sunday. I have to admit I was very surprised to be so entertained in what was a great game of football played between two teams who like to play ball. Far too often County Finals are dour boring affairs. I just want to point out that on Sunday from my standing point in the Rugby Club end it looked to me as the umpire down the scoreboard ed made a big booboo to cost Clonguish the title. It looked to me that the Dromard No.11 kicked for a point but it looked well wide from where I was. And after seeing it on TG4 last night it did look at least 2 foot wide. Any views?

Ya, the point scored by Francis McGee looked to be over the post from the stand side where I was. Having said that, my brother in law was behind the goals and he said it just made it. He said that the penelty call was a bad call as the foul was committed outside the box, but the player made sure to fall well within the box.
I think at the speed that David Barden was going any touch would have brougt him down. On Shannion side, after the match the asked Demian Sheridan (Dromard Goalkeeper) his view on the decision and he said that it probably was just in, but in any case he taught that David would score it as he was clear in on Goal. Dromard don't seem to complain too much.
I was supprised at how well Clonglusih backs played. I think that the were excellent. Dromard backs were under a lot of pressure and the showed some weak spots. The high ball in seems to have them in trouble and the speed of Williams opened them up. Dromard will have to do a lot of work in their backline and midfield if they are to beat Clongliush the next day out.
Didn't hear of any Injuries after the match, but I heard from a Dromard Player that Kevin Donohoe, and Faughlin (who did not make the fitness test on Saturday), are still 50/50 for the replay. He said that they Bull had picked up a hip injury in the first half and had to get an injection at half time. He should be Ok for the replay, I guess.

McGee was excellent the last day, if they can get jamesy more involved for the replay reckon it's dromards for the taking.
