RIP Galway football

I think people should stop wondering why Mayo are too nice to win All-Irelands when you have people like the original poster knocking around. How can a man with all those club all-irelands and all that success with armagh be a bad appointment? At least Galway are trying to rectify their wrongs. Mayo just seem to sit in this arrogant world where pure football is the only type of football we play. We have zero medals and quite a few whoopings to show for that attitude. And was it not the Armagh of the start of the decade that pioneered the diagonal ball from half-back to corner forward that all teams (including us -badly) try to emulate even now?

Maybe you should consider Joe Kernans achievements against those of Mayo's as a whole in recent times Paddyogall before you spout this type of tripe. Maybe its just fear of what Galway will do to Mayo under big joe???

Well done Paddyo. You've managed to start another thread and surprise surprise the word ' Northern' is mentioned in your opening gambits.

All, Dont reply to this character. There is another thread about JK being Galway manager. Use that for discussion

Zero Medals batigol?Nestor cup does'nt count any more does it?Dear god I thought I'd heard it all from Mayo lads.
Paddyogall is just trying to deflect attention away from his absurd claim a few weeks ago that John Maughan was gettin the gig.It came from one of Paddy's reliable sources apparently.Very reliable alright.

Why are you bringing Mayo into it? the thread has nothing got to do with Mayo, I'm just pointing out that one of the last few remaining traditional teams will soon be no more. We will have pulling and dragging and 12 men behind the ball and cynical tackles to look forward to from now on. An All Ireland when you use the tactics the Joe Kernans Armagh used? you can keep it

Aww my own little Stalker is back. How many of your 169 posts have been about me. 25% i'd say. This thread is about the Death of Galway football. I didnt mention Joe Kernan once in my opening post. some one else did. So by all means use the other thread to discuss Joe Kernan as Galway manager. Use this thread to lament the Death of Galway football. Meathbhoy i'm sure there is a girl or boy for you out there some where

considering he made it clear he wouldn't mange Dublin against his sons I presume he must have an arrangemnt with Croke Park that Armagh and Galway will not play each other, or is his family decanting to Connemara?

There is no denying that Joe Kernan's Armagh played some of the best, most enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing football of this decade. You could even make an good argument that they did play the best brand of football of the decade. Certainly better than anything Mayo served up in the last 10 years even with Ciaran McDonald in the team. (sorry genuine mayo fans but pog needs a reality check)

This thread is about Galway, why are you bringing up Mayo? Lazy very lazy, you should attack the post not the poster. anyways if you think that "Armagh played some of the best, most enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing football of this decade" then its you that needs the reality check.

Paddyogall - did Armagh win an all-ireland pulling and dragging??

I can remeber them beating Tyrone in ulster after a replay in two high scoring crackers - then beating Sligo after a replay in again two great games. Also i recall the Armagh Dublin semi final being a classic with some great goals and ray cosgroves nail biting miss in the end. There were some big hits in the final against Kerry along with some excellent point scoring by clarke, marsden and Mcdonnell - as well as gooch and dara o'shea for kerry. I also recall a great move for mcconvilles goal and great colour after the whistle.
How was this season poor or full of pulling and dragging?

I said numerous times in my posts here the Armagh are a Brilliant football side, Joe Kernans tactics were defensive and restricted their ability there is no doubt about that. Brolly fella my new stalker i understand your just a young fella. you havent seen much of this world. Get out and get yourself a partner i heard Meath-bhoy is single and looking
