I agree tomcork when they have a semi final and quarter final on the 1 day charging the semi final price for people who only want to see the quarter final which is usually the football.

you pay 80 euro to a soccer or rugby challenge match so i cannot see where people are complaining from and anyway kids wont get tickets for the final as clubs will get all the tickets no general sale so you will have the people from all over the country at it instead of the competing countys.
i thaught it was 30 or 35 euro for hill ticket for last years final to me thats great value

75€ is good. do you not remember when the IRFU would charge €100 for a ticket to an ireland match that wasn't even a tenth as important as this.

Well worth it if your county is in it

Majority of tickets should go to the competing counties not to everyone else its a joke. I have never gone to a final where Galway haven't been involved id feel sick depriving a fan of the chance to see their county

very well said it's crazy how people complain. and lohan tough s**t if your team is not involved. the competing counties should be getting the tickets not spreading them all over the country.

I know they maybe expensive but its the best show your likely to attend. my family went to Westlife there at €86 a ticket. wouldentswap theAI for that. I wouldent take kids though to an AI final. take them to the ladies Ai later. too many people for to bring young children to AI. Ive seen people with kids there before at big games. Its too much for small kids.

Define 'FAN'. I used to think like you, I had tickets for the '98 Galway v Kildare final and didn't go because i didn't want to deprive people from those counties going. I been watching finals for 25+ years. Over the last 10+ years I've been going to finals and I am a member of my local club. What has annoyed me over recent years is people who aren't even members or support their local club and just because their county gets in a final they think they have a given right to be there. A true 'FAN' who supports local and intercounty GAA will always get a ticket.

Most concert tickets cost a lot more than that for less than 2 hours worth of entertainment same with a soccer (90 minutes) or rugby game (80 minutes)
If you go to the All Ireland final, its 130 minutes of great entertainment and either or heartbreak if your team is taking part and a great day to celebrate our games if you are a neutral. For what you get, its decent value for money. The extras like the drinks/popcorn etc; can be bought cheaply in the supermarket before you go and not pay the ridiculous prices that they vendors charge inside.

The thing about the spread of tickets raises its head every year and I know from experience last year, a lot of people complained that because they weren't part of a club, they couldn't get tickets. I have been involved in my club in various capacities for nearly 15 years as a player, coach, committee member, fundraiser and only just got a ticket last year. A lot of people all over the country do the same and probably more and if they're not from a bigger county may never get the chance to go the All Ireland Final to see their team but deserve to be rewarded for all they do for the GAA.
I'm not saying that they deserve the tickets more than non club members but if people support their counties as much as they say they do, they could join their local club and sustain the GAA in their county whether they are successful or not.

Is there anyone on this forum that is a 10 year All Ireland Final ticketholder. I know they were issued this week so if you have your football final ticket I would be interested in doing a swap for the hurling final ticket.

What "challenge matches" cost 80?
If you are referring to International rugby test matches, they are not "challenges". they are full blown tests with world ranking points and a trophy on offer

IRFU pricing policy was wrong and they totally f'd up though not as bad as FAI did with pricing of tickets

Whether we like it or not these prices are small beer for major sporting finals and much of the money generated works its way down through the GAA unlike the English Premiership where an elite take most of it. What is a bigger scandal is that the competing counties in the final only get 12500 tickets each; they should be getting 25000 minimum.

I'd be happy enough to pay 150 euro each for tickets cos I know I dont have much hope of getting them if not. Probably my own fault for not being a season ticket holder but I hate the quality of the seats that get allocated (I dont mean for the final obv). For any other match apart from the final it is pretty easy to get top notch seats for anyone
