How can the GAA expect people to pay €75 to see an All-Ireland Final in a recession for a stand ticket. Any parents who have three or more children cant expect them to pay near €400 for tickets and petrol food etc has to be taken into account. I know where my friends and family will be going this year and thats the hill. Its the only place where people can get anywhere near value for money. hurlingguru (Carlow) - Posts: 1838 - 31/08/2009 09:23:35 409674 Link 0 |
75 is a bit much... I'll still pay it though unless a hill ticket can be located! unclegerry (Mayo) - Posts: 1223 - 31/08/2009 11:11:13 409794 Link 0 |

Just another example of the GAA not caring about the ordinary supporter. Dr.Shephard (Leitrim) - Posts: 2187 - 31/08/2009 11:35:34 409826 Link 0 |
Not only the price of tickets these days but the food and drink inside is painful! I was at the game yesterday and the lad I was with went down to get a few drinks. He got 4 coke's and a popcorn amounting to 14e. Such ridiculous prices! Triple H (Meath) - Posts: 551 - 31/08/2009 11:40:19 409831 Link 0 |
Triple H-- Why in the name of god did the young get 4 cokes, did he have a bottle of vodka hidden in his jacket. Fredthered (Donegal) - Posts: 1144 - 31/08/2009 12:56:47 409949 Link 0 |

To highlight all that is wrong with the GAA and the commercialisation at the expense of the ordinary fan I have this morning regretfully accepted 2 box tickets for next Sunday ruanua (Donegal) - Posts: 4966 - 31/08/2009 13:10:57 409986 Link 0 |

Hurlingguru, you needn't worry too much about All Ireland Final ticket prices seen as you're from Carlow! Nor should I. Cavan1947 (Cavan) - Posts: 215 - 31/08/2009 15:00:21 410165 Link 0 |

Cavan1947 I was born and rared in kilkenny so dont go skiting other counties when your own county are nowhere near an all ireland and if I remember correctly on July 11th Carlow beat Down 1-15 0-14 in Croke Park in the Christy Ring Cup Final which in my opinion is an ALL IRELAND FINAL and we will be seeing Carlow in the Liam Mc Carthy next year. I dont see Cavan making any great strides in hurling or football. hurlingguru (Carlow) - Posts: 1838 - 31/08/2009 19:44:46 410686 Link 0 |
