Kerry V Meath Thread - Roll on 2010!!

Turgid dreadful awful stuff. Aston Villa/Fulham is a better option. This is what we would have had EVERY year if it hadn't been for Tyrone and Armagh and will have EVERY year from now if Tyrone don't make a comeback next year. Gaelic football will die on it's proverbial if Kerry steamroll Cork in the final which is what will happen. YAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNN and this is what most of you long for?????

Over 55 mins gone and still no match in sight. Shocking stuiff. I hate to say I told you so but as I predicted before the Meath v Dublin match I predicted dull stuff and we are getting just that and now we are close to 60 mins!!!!

Hopefully we get a good final!

An awful game and total boredom as I predicted. The late goal didn't even put a gloss on it as it was well withered before then. Tommy Walsh ended this miserable affair. Once again I say roll on 2010 but lets HOPE we get a good final to finish this year off.

The pitch was like a skating rink with players slipping all over the field. This happened in the minor game as well. The G.A.A. will have to do something about this surface before someone is seriously injured. The condition of the surface effected the match. Having said that Kerry were much the better team and deserved their win.

This was not a good match but let's face it, this was an All-Ireland semi-final. On days like this one merely wishes to finish on the winning side steeling the resolve for the contest to come. How many countymen on this forum have been able to cheer on their favourites in a semi-final in recent times whether the fare was turgid or YAAAAAAAAWWN? We are fortunate in Kerry to have a tradition of excellence and constant endeavour that permits us to produce teams that meet our level of expectation. There are no academies or centres of excellence, there are development squads, but simply clubs that allow all sizes and shapes to learn the basics of football. For those that have no knowledge or appreciation of football then let the following be a lesson; in the north Kerry football is the benchmark against which football is measured. If you wish to test this ask a Tyrone or Armagh person if Kerry is the level that they aspire to. In Kerry we are very aware of the position that we hold and we always try to hold our position with dignity. Tyrone and Armagh have given an example to other counties for the future and these two counties, Tyrone and Armagh, are held in high regard in Kerry. Cork are our neighbours and greatest rivals and are also well respected because beating them is special and never taken for granted. What I would say to certain participants on this site is not to assume too much and bear in mind that the game of football deserves better than their ill-considered opinions that have little sporting merit.
