criticism? and what sense of the word are you using? where was the advice that would make this comment and thread useful? cause all i saw was you huffing and puffing that the championship hasn't panned out to your liking. in no way are we 'guaranteed drdgery'? Kerry/Cork will be many things but boring it will not. the same would apply for Meath/Cork. and the game this weekend will also hopefully be a close entertaining encounter. i'd go as far as to say a cork kerry final is what i want as i want this cork team to win sam and who better to win against than their neighbours and rivals. (obviously i'd favour a meath cork final, but i'd sooner watch cork beat kerry than tyrone if kerry are to lose.)
so just because the championship isn't how YOU would want it to be at this stage doesn't mean its worse off for it, on the contrary it means we've had an exciting contest so far as a few surprises have occurred so appreciate that if nothing else.

1970 - kerry win comfortably enough in the end

1986 - kerry walk all over Meath - game over after first half goal and mix up in meath defence

2001 - meath walk all over kerry game over after bust up in kerry dressing room.

Loyal I don't think a good start is necessary.

It is necessary though that meath don't let kerry more than 4-5 points ahead at any stage. If kerry are only infront by this amount after 60 minutes then Meath have a real chance. Meath just need to stay in touch and then they can do what they are best at - pounch at the opportune moment and book their place in the final.
