Mickey Harte - Knocking on Heavens Door donegal_insider (Donegal) - Posts: 584 - 22/08/2009 13:05:48 399829 Link 0 |
Oisin McConville's The Gambler (good insight into great Armagh team). Jack O'Connor's Keys to the Kingdom (no holes barred, his paranoia is hilarious at times) and Mick O Dwyer's for a look at 70s and 80s GAA history. Also Mickey Harte's Knocking Down Heaven's door, came out in 2003. Basically a diary of an All Ireland winning manager and is very interesting. Kings of September definitely, its a great book. Im waiting on someone to get me Beyond the Tunnel by Nicky English I hear its a great book. Liam Hayes book Out of our Skins is brilliant. Blood Brothers on the Cork hurlers the last 10 years is good too. Ger Loughnane's book I found to be a great read too. Mickey Harte's book is excellent reading, and that was 6 years ago! dammon, one I mentioned features both, not a history book, just more like different former players reliving moments from different eras and stuff, hard to explain! updaroyal (Meath) - Posts: 1132 - 22/08/2009 17:41:41 400008 Link 0 |
