(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I love a good drive on a sunny day, set of with the woman not knowing where im going or what we might stumble accross. Iv been through alot of counties but as of yet I have seen none that compare with Donegal. I have never in Memory been in Kerry so plan to go there some time soon as I hear its beautiful. Anyone else any suggetsions?

Try any of the following

1. Atlantic drive - rosguill
2. Knockalla coast road -fanad
3. Gortahork to Dungloe via bloody foreland
4. Killybegs to Glenculmcille
5. Gweedore to Letterkenny via Errigal/Poisioned Glen

If you decide not to opt for Donegal the following are inferior but still worthwhile

Noth Antrim coast Cushenden/Cushendall
Dingle penninsula
Carlingford - Cooley mountains
The vee tipp/Waterford
Wesport/Lousiburg - Leenane

Loftus Hall
The lovely beaches
Vinegar Hill
The 1798 centre

And much more...

From Larne to Ballycastle along the Antrim coast road on a sunny day is as beautiful a drive as anywhere I have been. Lovely drive from Blessington to the east coast of Wicklow through the Sally Gap and Vale of Acoca is a nice couple of hours as well.

Dingle is decent alright, but I'm surprised no one mentioned The Ring of Kerry?!

In honesty Brendy, there is some very nice places to take a drive in Derry. The background on my computer is a photo I took when driving around the Benone/Magilligan area.

Its from the top of Binevenagh Mountain, overlooking the steep drop that benevinagh can be easily recognised for. You can see benone beach looking out to the Atlantic, Lough Foyle, Magilligan Point and right over to Inis Eoin. If anyones in the area id advise to go looking for that spot.
