I think you are missing the importance of this great debate. It's the future of the GAA!

London probably slightly the better team, but NYC the better city BY FAR. Pretty stupid thread, like asking what is less horrible- cabbage or brussel sprouts.

They should play in opening game of championship. Would be competitive and would give each of them a realisitc chance of winning at least one game a year. Would be interesting.

The draw for the Connacht Championship is probably riiged so that this mouth watering encounter will never take place.

All the more reason to have an open draw! Better chance of them playing each other.

Yes whitegoodman, the draw is rigged by virtue of the fact that there is a rotation system in place where every County in Connacht knows they are going there five years in advance. This is to be fair to all counties so there is not additional costs to any county by the luck of the draw.
Posters here are missing the big picture for all emigrants, what this means to New York and indeed all gaels in America. Even in down times here in New York we can still draw a crowd of 3 to 4 thousand people for these games.
So for lowerormond who asks who cares, we care. We the tens of thousands who came here before the Celtic Tiger, we the people who emigrated because we had to, not because we wanted to, we the people to whom our culture and our games mean everything to us, we are the ones who care. For all the people from Connacht who emigrated ( myself included ) to New York who have kept involved with our games. Maybe you should travel here sometime and see just what Football and Hurling is like here, how teams train all Winter outdoors in sub-zero weather for the chance to play Inter County Football, how the GAA has provided jobs and accomodations to counless thousands over almost 100 years, how Gaelic Park has been a mecca for decades for emigrants, how inter county and club rivalries were put aside when someone was in trouble and needed help. Yes lowerormond while it is easy to dismiss us, we care and I would venture would care far more than you ever could perched on your high horse. The GAA is about far more than success, it is based on community and sportsmanship and it is far more in abundance here than you could ever understand.

Getting back to the actual question I think New York pu it up to connacht teams on a more consistent basis compared to London who usually get hammered by everyone bar roscommon (only bet them by a point in 2005 and were v lucky to do so).
