Heard a few good ones from managers/captains/old campaigners; Get the first hit in early, even if its late. Don't tiptoe round him, stand on the *******. One very good one sticks in my mind. We were at an away match and the oppositio teams ground was next door to a funeral home. In the huddle and captain pipes up, 'Right lads, lets go out there and throw these boys(gesturing towards funeral home) a bit of business!' Cracker i thought.

When you take things for granted, the things you are granted get taken.

----------------------

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing

ther was an article in a macrory cup(ulster collages competition) final programme a few years ago about cormac mcanallen after he passed away about his memorys of collage football and losing in the final,
"i dont think iv ever been as dissappointed by a loss as i was that day. Club and county matches come and go but you usually get another try next year. This time however there were no chances." Always thought of that before i played a school match.

Also a quote from lance armstrongs book, "individual sacrafice for collective glory."
