Keano County: Mayo Posts: 387 How do you figure you have a good mid-field when you were beaten on the kickout by Galway? Meath I would agree aren't a great team but they've a better midfielder sitting on the bench (Mark Ward) than both of yours. They destroyed a Limerick on the kickout who won midfield in the Munster final. I wonder sometimes what people be watching when their at games. I'd actually say that of the top 10 teams in Ireland Galway has the poorest mid-field and they roasted McGarrity and He3aney on 50/50 kickouts for the whole 2nd half. I found Mayo's strength being their lethal fast counter attacks BeanPhaidin (Dublin) - Posts: 84 - 06/08/2009 20:27:17 381645 Link 0 |
Meath's tight game v. Limerick will give 'em confidence but if Limerick had more scoring forwards, we'd have won the game which is why i think POD09 (Limerick) - Posts: 486 - 06/08/2009 22:37:33 381841 Link 0 |
Have to be going for Mayo, afterall they are the neighbours and the only team left from Connacht.. Burca (Galway) - Posts: 346 - 06/08/2009 22:42:32 381853 Link 0 |
As a neutral (who has the greatest amount of respect for his neighbours) I think it would be in the interests of the GAA in its 125th year to see Mayo in the semi :D Real Louth fan (Louth) - Posts: 3157 - 06/08/2009 22:43:00 381855 Link 0 |
Most Kingdom supporters don't care which M-team comes through, but I'd like to see Mayo if only because they'd give us a better warm-up for Cork or Tyrone without risking injury to our players! lostmarbles (Kerry) - Posts: 8 - 07/08/2009 01:13:11 382124 Link 0 |
From what I have seen of Mayo, their forwards have accurate, sure-footed scoring ability. So they should rack up a lot of points. Meath have Sheridan who can score points or goals. I think the final score will be: mikeyjoe (USA) - Posts: 415 - 07/08/2009 16:17:33 382901 Link 0 |
