Newtwon V Shillelagh,
Brilliant game of football, agreed with another poster Ross was outstanding last night, he really thrives in the championship, best game I have seen him playing this year. Deano was his usual self causing the backs havoc great to see him back in the black and white.
Thought McShane was excellent when he was brought on made some great catches and scored a good point. Both Newtowns midfielders got on the scoresheet also with a magnificent point in particular from Jason Fitzsimons.
Shillelagh got a goal right at the end after Newtown keeper made a great save and got fouled, tried to give a short kick out and gave it straight to a Shillelagh man who duely buried it in the goal.
This was Shillelaghs only score in the second half.
Can't wait until Sunday to play Kiltegan, Gail seels to have Newtown plaing well considering some poor performances in the league.

As usual Magpie 11 , your losing the run of yourself.
Newtown are just an average Senior team , just above intermediate level - Beating a Shillelagh team that were at a stag party since last Wed.week to last Monday evening is no crowning glory..Most of your so called Magpies are all soccer players,and that will be starting very soon..
Anyway, when they see the the "Red & Green" like they have in the last few years , they just crumble and it Bye.Bye for another year.....

No Issue with Kiltegan - They were the best team in Wicklow last year, played nice football and deserved the C'ship.
No Issue with Seanie either. I Don't believe he is An All Star though and with regards to his suspension, its the CCC & Co Board Officials I have the issue with.

I am giving my opinion on the match, that is what it is my opinion.
There are obviously people that will have different views and that is it everyone is entitled to their opinion.
How am I losing the run of myself? By giving my views on the match?

I never came on here and said Newtown are going to win the championship or anything, matbe they will, maybe they wont, that is up to the players. But I will be there supporting them like I always am hail, rain or snow like I always am.
I seem to remember you coming up here and talking up Tinahely.
Newtown are 10 times the team they are, seem to remember one Newtown player beating them on his own in the league.
That from an average senior team, or an intermediate team as you said even though they have been senior for 6 years now!!!

Baltinglass 2.07 - Blessington 0.09 - (If Blessington had to have a free kicker on i.e Alan Kelly,they'd have won this game)
Hollywood 1.08 - Carnew Emts. 0.09 (Thought this game would never end , brutal stuff !!)
Bray Emts. 1.10 - A.G.B. 0.09 (A.G.B. made it easy for Bray, lost a man Straight Red card in 2nd.half - bye,bye !! AGB wecolme to the Keating Trophy)
Baltinglass now through , on 4 points - Bray v Blessington in their last game - winner takes all.

Fixtures on Sunday/Today :
Pats v Tinahely - (must be a Pats win,far too much class in their ranks - Tinahely 1984 seems a long time ago, so does the 1st man on the moon too !!)
Rathnew v An Tochar - (thought of a Red & Green Jersey will leave most of the An Tochar team at home,complaining of swine flu !!)
Newtown v Kiltegan - (Furlong v Odlum whichever 1 of them stay on the field will win it !!)
Shillelagh v Stratford / Gr.Con. - (Watch out Stratford , u'll be seeing stars !! but not from a football point of view,but in your head when these Ginnetts get ya !!)

Any 1 know , what has happened the final of the Div.1 league for last season - Carnew Emts v Newtown - what a joke , here we are 15/8/09 & the league final
was never played yet - The Fixtures committee in this County are a joke & a waste of time.

Forcus, you obviously were not at the Blessington v AGB match in Aughrim last week, Alan Kelly was the free-taker there and on that performance was a sub today. I agree that a free taker is needed, but they need to look further than Alan Kelly
