i would suggest putting the al pacino speech from the movie any given saturday on the cd. i know it is not a song but you will not get much more inspirational than this speech. here is a link for it on youtube.

I find Elgar's Pomp and Circumstances extremely motivational. His harmonic structures are richly diverse, sometimes chromatic at others touchingly diatonic.

Actually most drum and bass / hardcore tracks get me pumped to do something. I listen to stuff like that before I go running. If you aren't familiar with electronic music, these are songs with a very fast BPM I'm talking about here. Like, twice as fast as the music you probably listen to (unless you like jazz or something like that). I wish I could listen to it while I was running, but I find it hard to beat-breathe when I've got music playing in the background.

hate to burst the bubble but music doesnt motivate - having studies motivation for years that was a definate conclusion - ac/dc versus the spice girls will equally not motivate- the best motivator of the lot is silence and reflection - the best motivation i have ever witness is little more than whispering in a silent changing room - raoring like a bull does nothing absolutely nothing it produces movement but that isnt motivation. some good tunes but totally a waste of time with regards motivation
