It only counts as far as the Kildare game as the Cork game was after the 14th which was the deadline for the selections.

Ryan McMenamin very unlucky to lose out but then again I wouldn't like to pick which of the 6 players I would drop to accomodate him. Delighted for Hub that he got player of the year, well deserved. As for bumpernut who couldn't believe Cavanagh didn't make it - he wouldn't have made my second fifteen, never mind the first XV!

Niamh,

He scored 1-4 from play in the ulster final and got man of the match and as much as I admire Paddy Cunningham his 0-11 in the final earned him his allstar in my opinion.

Dell, you really really take the biscuit so you do it sometimes comes to the point were you anger with with your downright arrogance and inability to see things rationally. I don't think you watch football at all to be honest, it is no wonder you are a laughing stock on here. Top select a couple or 3 of the picks you find unbelievable...

1. Barry Gillis - Derry terrible decision
He conceded 2 Goals all year- both happened to be in the one game also taking onto account league games he only conceded 3 in all games he played in meaning he kept 3/4 clean sheets in his championship games. Please feel free to say who you think is better....

5. Gerard O'Kane - Derry must be a joke
Did you watch any games he played in this year? Has Derry made it possible to the 1/4 finals or 4th round he would be pushing for an All-Star! He was a superb play maker all year settimng up scores and taking them himself, he also defends brilliantly not to forget his game against Tyrone where he kept 3 times All Ireland winning, 4 Times All Star winning 2008 Footballer of the Year in his back pocket All afternoon..perhaps you missed that?

10. Tomas McCann - Antrim Tomás has been brilliant for Antrim this year, scored the goal against Donegal which was the turning point in the game for Antrim, he has been scoring points from sometimes impossible angles, he has set up a lot of scores and often converted scored that have been played from his brother in Midfield.

Interesting to note you didn't put up a team yourself Dell, able to dish it out aren't you...
Owen Mulligan - Tyrone

Catch yourself on Dell, he man marked Sean Cavanagh all afternoon. Your fellow Tyronies are probably cringing at your downright stupidity.

2. Colin Brady - Antrim worse again

For once Dell is right. Brady in the first game marked Murphy of Donegal, who actually scored a point. Also everyone asked, sure who is Murphy?

Against Cavan Brady allowed Seanie Johnston to score a point as well. Dreadful stuff.

In the Ulster final he completely marked Steven O'Neill out of the game, but sure O'Neill is finished anyway we all thought, so no big deal there.

Against Kerry he held somebody called Cooper scoreless as well.

So I agree with Dell. Terrible choice. His immediate opponents may well be the oppositions star players, but allowing them two points?

No, Tyrone must have someone better I am sure.

By the way these awards show how daft awards are.

Last year I stated that Antrim had a host of forwards like Collie McCullough, and was laughed at. McCullough had a great season last year but was hardly playing a traditional number 15 was my argument.

I was told that Antrim had no forwards at all.

Suddenly they have three all stars? Did they suddenly improve? Or do INDIVIDUAL awards simply go to the TEAMS that do well?

I believe my call for five Antrim and very few Derry players was met. Just rewards for a fine season. Not sure about some of the tyrone players included though, I'd have a few other forwards in there before Mulligan who seemed to run away from the ball a lot in Croke against Cork
