Orlaith, I think your team was the best. Possibly not enough Doire players but you obviously don't want to come across as being biased either!

375938 What have Murphy, Johnston, Stephen O'Neill, and the Gooch got in common?

All marked out of it by the same player this year.

Worth a mention?

Murphy was double marked so how would you say he was marked out of it by one player?

The number TWO does not signify two people, it is just a number.

Unless no-one was marking McFadden.

Gerard O Kane is the only Derry man who should be considered for that all star team.

reNiamh,
You said that Barry Gillis aside the Donegal game he has been excellent all year including the league but then when our wee Orlaith names Tommy Freeman in her side you knock her down stating he only played one game and scored 2 points did he to not have a very good league campaign or is it just different rules for you

I cannont believe that people are including more Derry players that Antrim in these so-called Irish News Ulster All-star awards. What a kick in the teeth to a fine young Antrim team. The fact that it comes from Derry people - the overrated county - is an complete joke and it should not be taken seriously. The guts of the team should be red hands and saffrons - fact - that is the way all star awards works Derry wans. Get over yourselves.

Pascal McConnell (Tyrone)

PJ Quinn (Tyrone)
James Loughrey (Antrim)
Conor Gormley (Tyrone)
Aaron Kernan (Armagh)

Kevinh Hughes (Tyrone)
Paddy Cunningham (Antrim)
Michael Murphy (Donegal)
Paddy Bradley (Derry)
Stephen O'Neill (Tyrone)
Michael McCann (Antrim)
Seanie Johnson (Cavan)

6 Tyrone
5 Antrim
1 Armagh
1 Donegal
1 Derry
1 Cavan

Dont get me wrong there should be notable mentions for a few more derry, monaghan boys, one Armagh player - Stevie Mc - and a few donegal players. Claiming that three, foour or even five derry players should be awarded is a disgrace considering they got beat by two of the eight other teams in Ulster.

Orlaith you are as predictable. Freeman should no way get an ulster all star this year- neither should Steven McDonnell. Mratin Pensrose and Joe McMahon should both be in there instead- McMahon plays a roving game but he is juts such a workhorse for the team

James Kielt should get an allstar- I think they should be all Tyrone and Antrim besides that to be honest

I know fermanagh didnt have a great year, but i think Tommy McElroy deserves a place at wing half... he was the only good thing about us this year and could walk onto most teams in Ulster.

Mulligan Eamonn,

Yes but I also included his clean sheets in 3/4 games, I also looked at league as Goalkeeper was a very difficult position to fill.
