The jealousy aimed at the Dubs is cringe worthy.

As Humphries said last week Jack O'Connor would have found it difficult going into the Kerry dressing room with the words "Right lads, Antrim/Longford" today" to motivate the players.

Kerry were either going to roll over and die, or destroy someone. We now have the answer, and suddenly Tyrone look to be the team struggling, well behind Cork and Kerry. Football can be fickle, and misleading.

HOWEVER, the Dubs FANS were not crowing during the week, most of them feared Kerry for obvious reasons. The MEDIA in Dublin is another matter. Dublin are box office, that sells papers.

What is undeniable is the love of the GAA and team allegiance found in the real Dubs. Sold out today.

On Sunday with 4 counties playing, 49,000. Allowing for neutrals that is about 10,000 per county, and Kildare for one have a large support when they are on a roll.

I bet there will be more than 10,000 Cork or Tyrone people looking tickets if they make the final.

The Dubs fans are wonderful, warm hearted, knowledgeable and humurous. Two years in a row now, but they will be back next year.

You can laugh and make all the snide comments you like, but you can never, ever, take that from the Dubs.

The GAA depends on the Dubs, and all the hate aimed at them proves that, and is the source of the jealousy.

Was rushing out the door after writing my last post so I didn't really think about what I was writing.
Just incase meath supporters thought I was having a go at them, I wasnt.
The better team won on the day. But I would just like to point out to hipster, wherever he heard that limerick supporters were having a go at meath supporters is just poor rumours. I found a chant started by a meath group in the terraces very insulting towards us but these were just the usual so-called "fans", Im guessing.
A few in the terraces were supposed to have been abit cruel towards us as well. But the rest were fine and respectful. So good luck to meath on Sunday.

Next, hipster you can print out as many things about the dubs as you like. You are obviously very very biased and have ignored everything that was mentioned about the dubs behaviour today. So, please, if you're just gonna have a go at supporters of matches that you have never seen yourself, then take it somewhere else. I don't think Limerick have played the dubs in the football championship since I can remeber so how would you kow what our fans are like?? the football supporters of limerick are a very loyal bunch, thank you very much.

Print out as much as you like... it will gives the people you train a real idea of some of Dubs support.

well hipster its as simple as this, you cant throw muck and not expect to get some thrown back. The dubs love to sneer at everyone when things are going their way but cry foul when the tables are turned. It doesnt cut it for me im afraid, they deserve their slating

Jealousy?
I respect the Dubs that are real supporters alright but jealousy would not be my reason for disliking (hate is a strong word) some of their supporters.

Ur right CMX, but when i see another mayo post I just remember that these are the guys who said kerry were past it, who said armagh were going to challenge, who said cork didnt have the bottle, and said dublin would win the AI this year. What do they know?

I got to agree with this thread I think 99% of the Dub's deserve credit for what they bring to Croker all Counties have idiots ,mouth pieces and fair weather supporters
Dublin will always get special treatment i.e abuse because they enjoy a huge fan base and fill Croke park most years to capacity, I was at Croker yesterday and while 50'000 was a good crowed, the fact that it took four counties to get that number and an empty hill showed that the GAA depend on A good run by Dublin to pay for the running of HQs ,The semi finals will also be poorly attended maybe 50 thousand which is crazy as come the final those sit at home on their fat ass supporters will all be out on ALL IRELAND SUNDAY with tickets to boot. hard luck DUBLIN but you just came up against a very determined and ruthless Kerry team, and those of you who use the word SCUM should wise up its an awful word a word I have heard used to describe TYRONE on many occasions by people who don't know anything about GAA or being a Gael.

Marcais I take exception to that, what Roscommon man was on here havin a go at the dubs? The better team won in croke park today by a country mile,if that offends anyone you are too soft to be on here.Dublin still won a provincial title this year and although that will feel like scant consolation this evenin it is only a few short years ago that it would be considered na successful season. Also Marcais if you are from Dublin don't put down Wicklow,it does'nt matter where you live!
