Can Meath get more than seven scores this time.

Can Meath score more than 7 scores against their mighty foe's Limerick this year...?? Can Meath claw back the mighty 9 point gap of 2008.or will Limerick once again carve 7 times in the last 60 years All Ireland Champions open and score 5 goals this time around????? We'll wait and see. If Limerick can carry the Cork Game form against Meath... perhaps this mighty rivalry may just carry on into 2010!!?? COME ON LIMERICK!!!!!...........

I think Limerick have had long enough to recover from heartbreaking Munster final loss and should have a bit too much for Meath..

Hope we can do all this but my fear is that we caught them on the hop last year with our half forward line working like trojans & Ian Ryan cleaning up for us. Meath will be a lot better prepared this year and I don't see us scoring 4 goals. It's a tough one to call, I think Meath, just about.

Won't be anything like lasy years game. I think Limerick have the better forwards and hopefully will sneak it by 2 or 3 points. Expect goals a plenty

Hahaha nah sure what can a Meath man say to a Dub at the minute???...we lord it over the Royals.

Yeah cant wait for Monday.... I'd make Kery favourites on the big pitch to be honest..you've had our number for a long time and you know how to play against us very well...Very tough draw once again for us..Tyrone last year and now you boys at this stage...

But you have to beat the best to be the best dont ye...I've been saying for the last number of weeks that people are crazy to write Kerry off...and you boys are going to put in your best performance of the year against us..no question. Whether thats good enough at the end of 70 minutes...we'll see.

Have to say Mick, I think Meath have the better forwards.
Ian Ryan is class fair enough, as is the half forward against Cork..think he was captain but apart form that nothing else stood out against Cork.
Meath on the other hand have 6 scoring forwards, who are capable of racking up a big score on their day...
Meath to sneak it by 3points at the most, whoever wins it though will have had a tough match and ahould really give Mayo a good run for their money...

This will be a tough game. True, Meath were humiliated by Limerick last year but that is in the past and all we can do is try to right that wrong as best we can. But there are no easy games at this stage of the championship. Limerick looked very good against Cork and won everywhere bar the scoreboard. Meath haven't beaten anything of significance yet, Waterford, Westmeath and Roscommon while admirable aren't footballing strongholds.

I believe this is the toughest of the games this weekend to call but it wouldn't come as a shock to see Limerick shading it by a point or two.

Jimbo support teams from your on province like a good lad.....!

Mick14 I think we have the better forwards but that our full back line is a real area that Limerick can exploit....I'm not confident of a Meath win i'll wait until I see a team selection...Best of luck to both teams and here's to a cracking game(Maybe we can nick a bit of revenge) ha.......!

will be tough but hopefully we can just squeeze it... after last year surely the lads will be out for revenge so that should keep us going for the last 10-15 minutes and that'll prove the difference. course id love to say we'll win it from the start but we dont take anything for granted here anymore after last year!

But still good enough to beat you...sad reflection at the absolute dire maelstrom that Meath finds themselves in...

Enough of this anti-Meath nonsense jimbo, we all know your a closet Royal, i saw you wearing the green and gold on june 7th so don't try and deny it!

As for Meath v Somebody, i think we'll win handy enough, we have better fowards, backs and keeper, midfield might struggle early on but once we come to terms with it then we should be on an unstoppable roll to glory.
