I'm with delboy on this one - the residents are professional whingers, take all they can then whinge til they get more.
Watch out for a lot more of it now that the economy is back in the dumps.

I'm with Dellboy and Lifford Gael on this one too. Why did they not complain before the gigs?

Aye dellboy! They should get their free tickets cancelled! Thats no excuse, just because you live beside somewhere you get free tickets! Thats like saying if you live in the Brandywell area of Derry you get into Celtic park for free. They are never satisfied!

to say that clonliffe road is in the north strand area is hardly inaccurate.

plus, can people stop going on about the local residents getting free tickets please? the residents are entered in a draw to get some free tickets or have the option to buy tickets at cost price. the residents area is large (from botanic road to north strand) so the odds of actually getting tickets is quite small. i've got free tickets once and had the option to buy tickets on one other occasion.

there is more information here, if you actually want to have some facts for your argument.

The problem we have here is it is like a rich man the more he gets the more he wants . Now most of these poeple moved in there after croke park is built and i feel have no right to protest .

The more I think of it and the more I read Dellboys last post, the more I come to the conclusion that only those residents who lived in the vicinity of Croke Park before it was built should have the right to protest. Anyone who moved into the area afterwards knew what they were letting themselves in for and should have no right to protest whatsoever.
