I usually don't have sympathy for people that live so close to grounds as more often than not they have moved to the area after the stadium was there and still have access to get tickets because they live there. On this occasion i have to agree with the residents not due to the times of the show or crowd as that comes with it but the times the workers are dismantling the stage in. They are working non-stop for 48 hours as the stage needs to be flown and assembled in Gothenburg for Friday night's show. Surely most people will agree that is not fair and how would you like work like that with the noise for 48hours non stop!!! ced1980 (Roscommon) - Posts: 62 - 29/07/2009 12:01:43 367984 Link 0 |
The residents get no sympathy from me. Every time there's a match on theyre out in front of their houses moping about making sure nobody sits on their wall and whinging if someone throws paper or cans in their gardens. Spoils the day for everyone. Lifford Gael (Donegal) - Posts: 1925 - 29/07/2009 15:18:24 368387 Link 0 |

I really hope a lot of these posts are tongue in cheek! A little disruption is to be expected, but round the clock work? of course they should complain. evangelist (Longford) - Posts: 245 - 29/07/2009 16:47:33 368533 Link 0 |
the croke park residents are always complaining. I remember i was on my way down to croke park for a game a few years ago. I was caught by a call of nature and needed to go badly. So i stepped into someone's front garden for a quick tinkle and some buck came running out of the house and went bad. I had to stop mid-tinkle which as anyone knows is not easy whiterbannnas (Mayo) - Posts: 2441 - 29/07/2009 17:16:55 368613 Link 0 |

do dublin people feel they need to defend and respect the residents just because they are dubs ? dont remember this to be the case at the leinster final with the smell of urine down every street leading to the hill, every protester that entered croke park should have been arrested and brought up to fitzgibbon street, but sure then again the gaa cant ever seem to keep the dubs off the pitch kildara (Kildare) - Posts: 101 - 29/07/2009 17:42:49 368672 Link 0 |
