Michael Murphy-Top class act

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Its my first time seeing the young 20 year Donegal forward Michael Murphy, he seems a genuine top class act. Hard to imagine he is so young, he has over 20 points i believe in this years championship, with Players like that on board hopefully Donegal can fulfill some of there promise

Why do you even get involved or comment on such a perceived Nationalist organisation like the GAA? Your own views, posted on HS many times, are so obviously against the history and ethos of the GAA so why would you get worked up or worry about the GAA OR any of it's players?

He repeated it. I'd say it was affected by his involvement in the team last year (and probably this year too).

it wasn't that hanley got to grips with Murphy so much as Galway put in a sweeper and as a result Donegal hit a lot less ball into Murphy. Re why doing his leaving he is just turned 20 this month and he repeated his Leaving.

he may have got 28 points or so, but look at the teams donegal have played
not taking away the fact that yes he is a good footballer, but his pace is the only thing letting him down from being the real mccoy

You know what i couldnt get a better example to the reason i dont want a United Ireland. What do you perceive the GAA to be? i see it as a sporting organisation, you seem to see it as some polictical vehicle in your quest to have a 32 county "Catholic" Ireland, god forbide any of these Johnny foreigners will play this Polictical nationalist sport, what do you say to the English school kids playing the recent tournament in Sunderland "Sorry you cant play because your not irish nationalists" your kind has being hi jacking the GAA for years alienating a massive 800,000 people from a Brilliant sport, as a protestant myself i can only imagine the crap they would have to put up with playing GAA in the north, something that i would never experience in the Republic

Paddy I read in an earlier post that Michael Murphy has gone back to repeat the leaving cert. I suggest you do the same. The GAA most certainly has a nationalist ethos and that is something that I for one am very proud of

Hanley definitely tigntened up on him all right but I thought the main factor was Galway dropping men back to sweep which cut out the long ball options for Donegal. It was a great tussle between the 2 with Murphy slightly shading it.
