Claremorris played to their utmost on the day. Ballina on the otherhand...............didnt CarlosDaJay (Galway) - Posts: 68 - 11/09/2009 09:35:32 422797 Link 0 |
Ballina weren't let to play on the day. They walked over every team this year by 10-15 points and more, and expected to do the same to Claremorris in the final... Ballina didn't know what to do when Claremorris stood up to them.. They pressed the panic button, which must have been faulty! Coolman (Mayo) - Posts: 22 - 19/09/2009 15:40:52 430518 Link 0 |
I don't think Ballina expected a walkover. They knew Claremorris were at full force. Ballina were without their fullback, who was a dominating force throughout the season and was sorely missed in the final. Claremorris won by a point which really dictates a game that could have swung either way. As for Ballina having had an easy run to the final, I think within this Crossmolina, Knockmore, Westport and Swinford are all being underestimated. They all fielded decent teams, and remember, some also beat Claremorris. JamesyG1 (Mayo) - Posts: 43 - 21/09/2009 09:33:15 431584 Link 0 |
