Do you mean that gorman is a more talented footballer than quirke... From what I could see from the game Quirke scored 5 points (2frees and 45) mayo4eva (Mayo) - Posts: 11 - 28/08/2009 22:39:33 408256 Link 0 |
Gorman is a very talented footballer who underperformed on the day. He was beaten by his height. But he was not alone Claremorris also had their share of players who were outplayed on the day. JamesyG1 (Mayo) - Posts: 43 - 29/08/2009 09:02:54 408398 Link 0 |

We've seen better from Shaughnessy. Although O connell didnt get much ball, he did a good job on keeping Shaughnessy of the ball. Scored 2 points but did little else in the game JamesyG1 (Mayo) - Posts: 43 - 29/08/2009 17:29:05 408645 Link 0 |
shaughnessy didnt get much ball on his wing tho and if he didnt score that point at the end it was a draw johnolynch (Mayo) - Posts: 77 - 29/08/2009 23:27:13 408817 Link 0 |

PredNo1, It looks like you may be right. Perhaps if South West met Galway at an earlier stage they would not have made it to the semi. Luck of the draw... BS (Mayo) - Posts: 13 - 30/08/2009 20:54:40 409367 Link 0 |

claremorris may be yhe u16 champs but i still believe ballina had a more talented squad and had they performed to their full capabilities on the day would have won! but fare play to claremorris parkinson (Mayo) - Posts: 89 - 03/09/2009 16:55:24 414566 Link 0 |
infairness to claremorris they didnt let ballina play! johnolynch (Mayo) - Posts: 77 - 03/09/2009 23:41:20 415045 Link 0 |
Parkinson; I agree completely. A scoreline of 1-11 to 1-10 with Ballina well below par. Ballina were also missing McGurrin (probably the best U16s fullback in the county) through injury. JamesyG1 (Mayo) - Posts: 43 - 04/09/2009 09:46:16 415181 Link 0 |
Fair play to ye Claremorris ye beat Ballina who were playing without McGurran, the one of the strongest fullbacks in the county Philmc (Roscommon) - Posts: 28 - 04/09/2009 10:13:05 415195 Link 0 |

Horan would have started midfeild..Would have been captain also only for the injury!! Just to pick up on shooks point about clairmorris and south west.. any team that loves themselves that much and doesnt lack confidence is very good.... Hopfully they wont win much else before there heads explode... PredNo1 (Mayo) - Posts: 71 - 05/09/2009 23:27:00 416670 Link 0 |
