hey , if ur talkin about u16 , mayo play sligo tonite in a challenge in castleconnor at 8 i think . some nice talent on show especially the 3 moy davitts lads ! locky (Mayo) - Posts: 1 - 20/07/2009 14:43:14 353293 Link 0 |
the current system of selection for the ted webb competition is very unprofessional, so the panel always is not a fair reflection of our talent. in east mayo managers of club u 16 teams are asked to send lads of 'county standard' for trials. the lads show up and can be asked to play in positions alien to them, then based on that 1 hour trial they are kept on or not. the electors do not pick lads based on their performance at club level and they do not even attend these games. as regards talent ryan quirke from claremorris has to be a key memeber of any panel legend1951 (Mayo) - Posts: 38 - 20/07/2009 16:44:52 353621 Link 0 |
