Cork hurlers to strike?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Will the cork hurlers now go on strike and demand a change of management? I mean, they just didnt look properly prepared today and it couldnt possibly be the players' fault

That's it Mayo man...kick them when they're down. I'll remember your approach in the months to come, and maybe a little sooner than that!!...

Ha Ha,

But I think there'll be a big clear out from that panel, but pity that it cost a manager his job in the meantime

Gerald Mccarthy to blame here for poor management in the past, not enough time to redress that.

I think if they do go on strike again no one will care or listen to what they have to say because we are all sick of all their moaning in the last 12 months

whiterbannnas You should know better than to waste your time trying to fish for a reaction by winding up the Rebel county on these boards????

Dont worry ruanua let the children have their fun, congrats on ye're great win today, I think enda should be more concerned about his football team then with the Cork hurling team.

Have to say I have no sympathy for them either. Discipline cost them the game but then you can't foul a Galway man anywhere within 70 yards of goal with Joe Canning taking frees. But there is nothing around to stop the Cats I have to say and it will be a Kilkenny-Tipperary final.

best result of the year by a mile. this is 100% vindication for gerald mc carthy. those players should come out and explain themselves for the disgusting way they treated their manager earlier this year. the result today was not the fault of any management.

Why all the cork bashing? Raking up all the stuff from the past is ridiculous. Cork has moved on, you all should too!

well done to Galway. They thouroughly deserved their win. I hope they go on to win the All-Ireland. This has been a bad year for Cork. There was the strike which was ugly but there are many people to blame for that, it is easy and cheap to blame the players completely. When we went back playing we suffered a humiliating, "savage" as Denis Walsh described it, defeat to Kilkenny. We were one dimensional against Tipperary and were outplayed in the second half yesterday. All in all a terrible year.

Still nobody has died and at the end of the day it is only sport and I know we can come back from this a lot stronger. Best of luck to the remaining teams.

Oh the irony of being on the receiving end of a ill-advised dose of sarcasm from a GAA supporter from Mayo :-(

Those defeats in 89, 93, 99 and 02 must have hurt?
