Benny...... Paul Kieran come on now and you from round the Barrack..... Dont even think he makes the Meah Hill team any more.. No more than meself ate too many pies from the beautiful Blackberry's and fruit fields of Ballyhoe ..... Terry Skelly in my wee mind is the one player not mentioned who would defo be an addition to EOBs set up.... 22 years old... fit [No evidence of Pies there me mates] and improving all the time. Was in Navan both Sat and Sun last w/e and too be honest not too many caught my eye in open play and that includes the 2009 panelists on view. Ward,Ward, Farrell, Bray, Mc Keigue Regan, Mc Guinness.... Did miss the Summerhill/Sentown game....watched Moylagh and Dunsany for 45 painful minutes instead......no none there for me save..... Harrington and possibily Sean Mulligan from Kwood. Havoc (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 14/10/2009 17:56:07 454546 Link 0 |

I thought it was pretty poor of Eoghan Harrington as a defender to leave his man(Ross Geraghty) to score 4 points from play.Harrington is supposed to be a tight corner back for Meath but in reality he's very loose on his man.I know he's calm on the ball coming out of defence, but no county defender should allow a non-county player to score 4 points from play while marking him. Well now inter-county players aren't supermen either.. every player no matter what their quality has their off days.. Eoin Harrington played exceptional for Meath this year and has already proved himself, he could be burnt out due to the amount of football.. shouldn't be judged on one game.. Who is traininig Oldcastle this year? They have really turned it around in a short space of time; if memory serves me correct I think they only survived in Intermediate football by defeating Ballivor in a relegation play-off last year... they have always had good footballers but were often disappointing in the last couple of years. Discipline used to be part of the problem but they seem to have got that right this year. Thunderstruck (Meath) - Posts: 474 - 15/10/2009 03:55:10 455009 Link 0 |
