Tyrone man, Barney Rock or Brian Dooher would n't be in the top 50 never mind the top 5.In fairness you can only name the top 5 of the footballers you have seen. Then how do you compare a great footballer who had the misfortune to play for Wicklow like Kevin O Brien with a great footballer who had the good fortune to play on one of the greatest ever teams like Pat Spillane ?Impossible I would say. holy god to jesus ,are these tyrone boys getting a bit carried away ,granted ye have enjoyed success over the last few years and well done, but the GAA is 125 years old i mean one man there has Two tyrone men in the top 5 of all time ,will ya give it a rest for christs sake there is not even one tyrone man mentioned in the best 15 of the millenium.Im 32 so can only go by the stories i have been told to go back to 50s 60s and the images one has created in ones head over past greats. Mick o connell, Tom Langan, Mickey sheehy,Sean o neill and a coin toss between Maurice fitz and Ciaran mac for the modern era 51longago (Mayo) - Posts: 2981 - 14/07/2009 21:12:22 346050 Link 0 |
I can only judge players from what I've seen and I'm only 15 so I'm sure you can forgive me for not knowing much about the 50's, 60's,70's tyrone.man (Tyrone) - Posts: 83 - 14/07/2009 21:20:49 346060 Link 0 |
51longago maybe you should concentrate on Players you have seen then because how can you judge some one you haven't seen tyrone.man (Tyrone) - Posts: 83 - 14/07/2009 21:24:20 346065 Link 0 |
