Dual inter-county players seem to be a dying breed but they used to be fairly common. Who was the greatest? One obvious contender is Jimmy-Barry Murphy. The last high-profile dual player I can recall was Alan Kerins. Gaillimh_Abu (Galway) - Posts: 1037 - 10/07/2009 16:53:33 340869 Link 0 |

Undoubtedly Jimmy Barry-Murphy was the best. Top class in both codes. Credit to Teddy McCarthy aswell, it will be a long time before anyone matches his achievement of winning both in the same year (though Alan Kerins came close). JBM was a class ahead of Teddy though. aidangalway (Galway) - Posts: 648 - 10/07/2009 22:52:03 341305 Link 0 |
