Why is it everytime something goes wrong in Derry the manager is blamed and its "Get 'insert name here' out"?
Niamh im sure i could go throughthe derry guestbook or hoganstand and find 2 or 3 quotes of yours saying that DC was the best thing since sliced bread....talk about fickle.

Im hearing more that he wasnt happy with the way DC was treating him and some of the other players and that he just had enough. This is better information than my previous post.

didnt DC say after the Tyrone match the players didnt follow my plan sounding like "its not me its the players". Anyway hes a class player forget the Tyrone lads the best two forwards in Ulster for the last three years have been PB and Tommy so its sad for the game that both will not line out in Clones.

whiter bananas: Lads its obvious. He left because he cant face the thoughts of another wrestling match with monaghan. And who could blame him? This guy is one of the very best forwards in the country. Why would he want to put himself in a position where he can get assaulted for 70 mins and it is supposed to pass as a football match?

Sure that could happen him without coming near Monaghan just like his ex-county team-mate James Kielt.

Please stop making me laugh, it's only Monday and I normally don't do laugh on a Monda!

Sorry to see any good GAA player go before his time. One has to imagine that something must have kicked off behind the scenes for him to leave the panel the week before vital qualifier. I'm sure some facts will emerge in next couple of days in the meantime I would suspend judgment on the rights and wrongs of the issue.

From what I heard it all kicked off at the last training session ,players were not happy at DC he only wanted them to play football something Derry have forgotten to do recently.

this is a major shock as the whole country thought he left prior to the fermanagh match last year.

It now seems he was unhappy at the prospect of been played out the field at centre half.
With joe diver being tried at full forward. This plus the fact he has niggling injuries.

John Boss County: Tyrone Posts: 375 333892 It is very sad. Tyronians will understand the sentiment of Derry supporters after Stephen O Neills retirement. -------------------- except when stevy oneill retired it was out of pure fustration at not gettin a run and not bein able to maintain fitness. also niamh im shocked. i thought u wer takin the hand when u said DC out. can you not see that this man is a winner. its obvious that theres a few too many heads on the derry pannel that thing a bit too much of themselves and werent too happy when they heard a few home truths. as i say this can be good for derry. its up to themselves. if they want to roll over and cry or stand up and be counted.
