It is very sad. Tyronians will understand the sentiment of Derry supporters after Stephen O Neills retirement. Derry were highly likley to beat Monaghan (without Freeman) so an extended run in the championship seemed liklely, must be some serious dis-content in the camp for him to opt out at this point. Sorry to hear that. Great player. I wonder does the recent horror shows in which he was involved, nothing to do with him personally, have any influence on his decision? hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 06/07/2009 13:22:15 333916 Link 0 |

Do the Bradleys not have a history of falling in and out with the panel? I bet DC is sorry he left Clonoe now with the hassle he's had this year. He's a good manager if he got half a chance. ClonoeExile (Tyrone) - Posts: 55 - 06/07/2009 13:44:23 333962 Link 0 |

Word has it he wasnt happy with the way things were going and then with some players not turning up for training match yesterday, apparently, that might have been the last straw. Apparently Derry_ledd (Derry) - Posts: 2093 - 06/07/2009 14:14:45 334042 Link 0 |

Niamh County: Derry Posts: 1863 334116 Get Damien Cassidy out before he cause any more trouble. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The same Cassidy who you were raving about for the first half of the year? Niamh, you need to catch yourself on. As well as being your best player, in my opinion Paddy Bradley has been the biggest problem in the Derry squad for years now. I'll not say you are better off without him, as you have no-one else who can score, but he causes at least as much harm as he does good. if i was a derry man i would be very very angry with bradley! really being selfish and letting everyone down by pulling out now! either go at the start of the year or see it out till the end, but at least don't go a week before a game!! bad attitude. jaffacake (Meath) - Posts: 720 - 06/07/2009 14:59:30 334182 Link 0 |
